United BNE Lounge access on VA Reward ticket

From the context, I presume when you state "ticketed", you mean "Marketed" - as in a VA flight number. (i.e. A VA codeshare on UA metal). I guess you have Velocity Gold or higher. If so then lounge access is likely still not available by means of Velocity status as you are on a UA operated...

    Qantas DSC October 2024 Offer - book by 31/10/24 & fly 1/11/24-19/10/25

This! Basically, the PNR confers the double status credits. If that doesn't change, then eligible flights within the timeframe should credit double even if the flights change from the original booking.

    Upgrade with points

That is an interesting question. I had thought that If you are both on the one booking then generally the status used is that of the higher statused passenger. But I can't recall an anecdote, nor find anything documented. If it is of no penalty then I'd suggest doing as you indicated.

BA Executive Club change to spend-based status earning

After making further queries, without other overriding contracts, it may well be effectively be the operating carrier in most cases that pays. The airline running the lounge will generally bill the operating airline based on the BP scan as indicated. It is then up to the operating carrier to...

Qantas surveying members about spend-based status attainment

Of course Qantas have. They copied Velocity's 750 and 1500 mile zones, up from 600, 1200 etc.

BA Executive Club change to spend-based status earning

I doubt it is as simple as First Lounge access. It is more than one thing. For example, those aiming for BAEC Gold for Life status but not there yet having likely made already considerable expenditure towards that goal. They have had the proverbial rug pulled from under them with the target...
