I was able to transfer amex mr to Marriott from the nz amex site today. I got the confirmation email but the points are not showing up on my Marriott account yet.

Sorry I think I got mixed up as we just did a big multi flight trip. The tickets that I was able to get Singapore Airlines call centre to change and add the middle name were award tickets I booked via Singapore Airlines, not Alaska airlines.

I don't think I did. Actually I rang SQ and got them to add our middle names to the tickets. It took quite a while to do that for 4 pax over several flights. However from what I've read other people seem to think you would get let on anyway even without your middle names on the tickets.

I think as long as you are crediting the earn to NZ you can enter the lounges. There's quite a lot of discussion on FT about this as some NZ elites have found that if they credit their NZ flights to SQ then the lounge staff won't even let them in the lounge.

Try posting on the air nz flyer talk forum. They may be able to help. You generally just have to ring and wait until they answer. There are long wait times to get through.
