IME they tend to be for off peak travel when the lounges are quieter. Eg. not heard of anyone getting an invite to CBR at the end of a sitting week.

I love the Conrad Centennial. Great Exec lounge, brilliant breakfast buffet in the restaurant and the standard Exec rooms are large. Suites nicer but don’t always get an upgrade to one.

I don’t think it was anything at all to do with QF. Likely a BA stuff up with sending across the appropriate fare class instead of U. Was good while it lasted and it lasted for a long time, although may have had the unintended consequences of stuffing paid upgrades now it’s fixed.

BA boarding passes have the ticket number on there. If you send a picture of that along with your email invoice for the flight QFF should be able to sort it out for you. I don’t think this is anything to do with cancelling the Award, it’s simply that BA have sent this across to QF as U class.

I think the changes are noticeable. All references to the destinations have been removed eg. “Welcome to Hollywood” with the exception of the introduction scene. It just cuts straight to the safety demo part of each segment.
