I don't remember exactly, but I believe the tracking for her card showed up as a banner under Card Management I added her via live chat and explained that the usual supp form didn't have an option for suppholders without an SSN. I provided her passport details via live chat

Yes it went fine - she's got several supps now I believe supp cards will start building credit files (a weird quirk of the US credit rating system) but the supp holder can't apply for a primary card without an existing Aus Amex (for GT), an ITIN, or an SSN

Plenty of other airlines have worked it out - even in Business class. Qantas could do it if they really wanted to, but unfortunately they have adopted a mediocre F&B standard (probably to cut costs more than anything else)

Are you on iOS or Android? If you're on Android, create a throwaway Gmail account, sign into the Play Store, set your region to Australia and it should work. You can be signed into the Play Store using multiple Gmail accounts so this won't affect any of your NZ region apps. NFI about iOS sorry.

I thought the same but the classic award earn tables don't list the same Darwin to SE Asia ... so it would be distance based earn I think Classic award would still be great value over the J cash fare though (36.8k + taxes return)

I'd agree with this. HND T3 has very little to do airside too. The CX lounge is not really worth a visit unless you feel like dan dan noodles, there's a few basic convenience stores, and I think one book shop. Even the duty free is quite limited. HND is much more interesting land side - far...
