    Qantas Wine latest offering

Already at 250%+ of our cellar's capacity but couldn't help but take up that pinot offer. 16k pts for 4x $100+ pinots is indeed a steal.

1 million points on Bronze, hardly able to redeem intl tickets

NB only see reward seats appear on QF's award calendar 297 days in advance. But yes, that doesn't have anything to do with your searches 3-4 months in advance. I'm also NB and yeah, finding seats is a pain - but you'll find this isn't uncommon, especially if you're booking that 'soon'. As an...

    Reasons to travel to Adelaide

Whenever I come down for work (which means I don't have time to venture outside Adelaide), Orana's what I look forward to the most :D

    Reasons to travel to Adelaide

For me, many reasons (the Barossa, McLaren Vale & work being some of them), but mainly Restaurant Orana. One of my favourites in Australia and that's coming from Sydney, so we're not exactly lacking. Orana's one of maybe only three restaurants I can think of that can really define what [Modern]...

    Everest Base Camp (Luxury Escapes)

In terms of physical fitness, I'm likely above average - I regularly hike (multi & single-day) and strength train 5 times a week. Less sure about altitude - the highest I've been was on the road to Lhasa which is around 3.6km in elevation, but of course that's still a far cry from EBC at around...

    Everest Base Camp (Luxury Escapes)

Came across this LE that's mighty tempting: Bucket-List 12-Day Everest Base Camp Trek with Helicopter Ride I've done some light research and from the looks of it, the asking price appears reasonable compared to what other travel blogs say to budget for EBC (usually 1.5k USD+ ex. flights). Given...

    Paris Suites!

That's the feeling I get every time I step into a Luxury Lodges of Australia property :p

So... what car do you guys drive when not flying?

I quite like the look of the I-Pace. It's probably the first production EV after a Tesla that actually doesn't go out of its way to look freakish/overly-futuristic. It's a shame that its efficiency is so bad for its on-paper specs, which is sorta important when it comes to an EV.

    Woolworths gift card thread

In my experience, no and no.

    Amex D-Day Approaching (14/4/19)!

Will be dropping my explorer as soon as I've used my travel credits on it.

    Amex D-Day Approaching (14/4/19)!

Interesting...so a couple of weeks back I mentioned how I had successfully chased Amex up for an approx 500k points adjustment (bunch of txs that didn't post points). That took some time to actually go through but it finally did, 4 days before D-Day. ...logged in today and lo and behold...

    Woolworths gift card thread

Well yeah, I think none of us are surprised at this #business101 tactic; rather, whinging about the obvious as it were.

    Woolworths gift card thread

And of course, it had to happen after D-Day, and thus after I bought $10k worth...

    RewardPay Alternatives

I wouldn't be using Ferni's method after d-day either. I was simply mentioning the fact that at present, payments made via RP/Ferni's method will post in time.
  15. S

    RewardPay Alternatives

Yep, Ferni's method is just as reliable/quick, maybe more so - I made around $80k of payments on 10 April and when they posted they did so as April 9! TIME TRAVEL.

    Amex D-Day Approaching (14/4/19)!

Not for me. I made one last ditch attempt call this morning and was specifically told that because my PC application was very recent, the offer could not be applied to my account - while noting my spend history/loyalty etc. etc. (tbf not much spend history, only 2-3 years of serious spending)

Reduced AMEX earn rates from April 2019

    The Qantas Ultimate.

    Amex D-Day Approaching (14/4/19)!

Nope, explorer only now that I double checked. That said, I did use my explorer credit recently so maybe that had something to do with it.

    Amex D-Day Approaching (14/4/19)!

Same, thought it was just me! Makes my recent application for a plat charge all the more palatable.

Reduced AMEX earn rates from April 2019

100% agreed and a very reasonable, clear-headed assessment.
