how long was the wait to clear immigration ?

Rang 131211 call answered by Hobart in 20 seconds and unblocked a family award booking made online one hour earlier and eticket was issued immediately....Had a nice chat with Katie who was brilliant and hung up after a few minutes a happy camper

And we werent even offered the bread to go with our salad on our recent flight in J from MEL to OOL whilst the row behind was indeed offered the sourdough...Couldnt be bothered asking as we didnt really want or need to eat the bread anyway !!

Cancelled a classic rewards on Saturday online and the points were in my account 2 hours later....Sunday received an email saying the taxes had been returned to my credit card and hit my account on Tuesday....Now thats a huge improvement !!!

Yes I know what the general reaction has been so thats why I was blown away having reconciled many hours on the phone to recover points and money...Now lets see how long the taxes take to be refunded

Thanks NM and I am very much aware of the reasonings but cant help thinking that QF are a bit too heavy when it comes to carrier charges

no prompting required as I said previously I just received an email from Qantas 2.5 hours after I cancelled my booking online....I'm WP so dont know if that made any difference

Cancelled one Business class classic award ticket for two this morning and 2.5 hours later an email confirming that the points were returned to my account and that a refund for the taxes would follow....Must say a brilliant effort by Qantas....Now off topic a little bit but the taxes for this...

Booked yesterday SYD-HND and etickets received and passenger info filled out but still cant access my booking on the JAL site but was able to allocate our seats via Royal Jordanian....annoying but maybe has something to do with the date as we dont travel until May 2023

Stop over is 7 days and I’d like to think we’ve got a good argument but in the whole scheme of things I think my friend should just pay for the extra case and think that the RTW ticket just cost a bit more 😰

Unfortunately it’s a stop and no status….so the rule of the longest sector doesn’t apply ?

The first leg is QF with 2 x23kg….a stop in LAX before continuing on to Frankfurt and that’s where the problem lies in that Lufthansa are asking for $100USD for the 2 bag that was included in the first flight

Sorry not specific to this thread but does any know the baggage rules for a mixed airline RTW in economy class and on one ticket ? My friends first flight is QF to LA where an allowance of 2 x 23kg is given but then on Lufthansa it’s 1x 23kg and then on Thai from Bangkok to Melbourne it’s 2 x...

AA is 330 days

its just not only Qantas but I held on for over 30 minutes to SE Water and now on hold to the Australian and its been 35 mins and counting....Just so frustrating and in both instances cant use the online functions so just have to call and wait...grrrr

Tried to check in when it opened late this afternoon but then the gremlins hit….surprised as no issues on the outward bound leg….so need to visit the business service centre…oh well

Tried to check in on our return leg from BNE to MEL and says that the app cant check you in so you need to check in at the airport....and we’re WP and LTG.....another gremlin or a further enhancement...Grrr
