I had a similar issue and it took 5 phone calls to QF to finally find a "senior" in Hobart who fixed the issue and immediately issued our new etickets ....So I suggest keep ringing until you find the right consultant !!!

I have never "lost" parcels that I have had delivered to my NYC Hotel ( Casablanca and its brilliant ) but often some parcels have been misplaced even being found in the letterbox directly outside the hotel !!!

We've used IB on more than a few occasions and havent had any issues with them across both short haul and long haul and next April we are flying with them JNB-MAD-ATH rather than flying BA because of the bigger and better J seat

I was in the Picos Spain in July and got up tat 3.00am to book LIS-LHR-HND-SYD-MEL-NRT ( 2 x J seats ) all through Qantas and had no issues at all with availability...But then again I was lucky as the LIS-LHR had been available for 30 days before the long hauls became available and I was fussy...
