Have accessed Emirates business lounge area a few times this year, gold member at the time. Maybe it is meant the other way round, Emirates member do not have access to partner lounges.

Apparently it's security upgrades so hopefully only temporary. It has been like it for weeks, early morning flights can be a bit of a nightmare when combined with the FIFO flights. They do have a terminal 3 screening line as well now.

I haven't had a gluten free meal in 2 years now, mainly WA flights. Got one on recent EK but wish I didn't as I was sick.

I don't mind Upper Reach, small winery in the swan valley. The 2020 tasting notes from the winery says that it's a bit of a throw back, however I don't like heavy oak chardonnay. I find the oak influence subtle and well balanced with the citrus notes.

I agree, for me it is about the value for money of the deal I'm buying. I know everyone wants the best bargain, however, surely it is a wine sight and it is about the wine right?

Correct we are not talking Standish right. 2nd night on the Vine Vale and I thoroughly enjoyed it, would go as far to say it was beautiful tonight. The fruit and tannins have really balanced out, will have to put a few of those aside.

I think the wine from the Blackwood is Optimus The Terrace Block 2 from Latitude 34. None available from the winery as i am presuming that VM bought the lot, however I did pick up the 2014 previously from VM. It was similar in oak character to the Vin Vale but from memory maybe not as rounded...

Same, I enjoyed the 2015 and have gone again on the 16. I found it to be a well balanced Bordeaux blend, lots of dark fruit and subtle oak and for me it was good value at $25.

2nd time around as well, I missed the first time but not the 2nd :)
