Australian Passport Enquiry - Number of Pages Required

I hope someone can help with this: I will soon be travelling to the USA using a valid Australian passport, and will complete the usual ESTA application, but I have only one blank (unused) page remaining in the passport. Is one blank (unused) page sufficient for entry/exit to/from the USA? I...

    The Best Part of Flying?

I especially like the departure flight: On take-off, the excitement of a new adventure. When cruising, the feeling of being 40,000 feet above most other things in the world, just slightly removed from the everyday events going on below. On landing, the anticipation of putting all the...

LAX immigration waiting time arrive Qf107 Tuesday in May.

In June 2013, surprisingly, LAX customs and immigration were a breeze. Very short queues. The only downside was the need to wait on the inbound flight for 25 minutes until the 6.30am US Border Control opening time - not allowed to open the plane doors until this time.... 2 hours and 10 minutes...

Free upgrades might be the real difference between good airlines

See Family Business Upgrade http://www.australianfrequentflyer.com.au/community/qantas-frequent-flyer-program/family-business-upgrade-46934.html Proof that upgrades, and generous ones at that, can happen.

    QF7 Rate of Climb

Just flew QF7 as an alternative to the LAX offerings - a very positive experience all round. But the rate of climb out of SYD appeared to be extraordinarily low. Still seemed to be climbing over Fiji! I know this is a long flight (I think the longest now) and depends on loads, but how does a...

    Sydney to New York

I read this thread in planning my trip and procrastinated a lot before choosing SYD-JFK, mainly for better arrival time and to avoid the AA offering. I must agree with Cabbage that there is no better feeling (at least in flying terms) of cruising over Manhattan and landing at JFK on your home...

Look forward to hearing from a QANTAS Insider to answer to this one.

    Setting Status Credit Thresholds

That's my question. How are the numbers for these thresholds established?

    Setting Status Credit Thresholds

There is a lot of talk on these forums about status credits. People seem to spend a lot of time, money and effort researching, planning and travelling in order to attain and maintain status. So how are the status credit thresholds set? Is there some type of definitive formula?

Should I go for Platinum again with Qantas?

Doesn't at least some of this dilemma stem from the way the status credits system is set up? Unless you travel for consistent amounts year after year, or are unlucky (or lucky) enough to earn status credits close to a status credit tier threshold, you have to plan now for what you think you...

Nice. Was that on a paid or points ticket, not that there's too much difference these days??

    Family Business Upgrade

They can keep the hand-outs coming...:p The flight was full - Christmas Eve. And by no means was this post meant to invoke jealousy. I just thought it was quite generous (would never expect it to happen again) and wondered if others had experienced anything similar?

    Family Business Upgrade

First post - hope it's of interest. I am a first year QFSG. Travelled ADL-SYD-CGK over the Christmas break. Booked return Y class tickets for the family (2 adults, 2 children). My wife's ticket booked using QFNB Points (family transfer) through to CGK (via MEL to SYD) as this was all that was...
