Srilankan Enters Interline Partnership with VA

And it's extremely unlikely VA would want to be in the same alliance as QF. It would hardly be a 'point of difference'.

    Maintained Platinum Early - Questions!

I have found that over the last twelve months my ID has been checked everytime at check-in. The only way (and as someone has already pointed out, it's a crime), is to have no baggage and check-in online. Having said that, I would be a little peeved at having MY flight delayed due to someone...

    Edge vs Velocity Platinum

There are other benefits to the Velocity. A full evaluation is required need on personal circumstances and loyalty to Virgin - more points using the Amex Platinum (I use it and stick to Virgin, Coles, Flybuys etc)

    Stopover in Bangalore

However, the Taj is a short walk from the airport terminal (it's an ON layover) - assuming the very messy construction is finished (the Taj is expanding). Having lived in Mysore for years and BLR is my 'home' airport, there is zero chance I would bother going into the city during a 12hr transit...

    Air India rebranding

Air India both domestically and internationally has been abysmal, for over a decade, from my POV. Inflight services, ground handling, management capability, oh and don't forget the woeful website and loyalty program! It can only be better and really, worrying about the colour of the plane and...

    Air India rebranding

I am not sure how using examples of two airlines which went bankrupt in a thriving and enormous market, is one Tata would like to emulate.

    Buying Velocity points

I think your last sentence says it all.

    Buying Velocity points

The only value is if you need a few points for an actual flight, as you noted. Buying 'on spec' is a waste of money.

Would you vote VA Lounges as the most crowded?

Not a chance. QF lounges are like bus terminals and terribly run down.

Lack of reward seats after changes

I agree, saw lots of flights for my needs, including to Bali.

    Velocity Glitch

I had this happen a while back. Required a call to Flybuys. Oddly this week, my Coles account disconnected from my Flybuys account. That was easily fixed. I don't have a lot of time for Coles and Flybuys IT.

VA Flights from CHC to MEL

Given the marketplace, I fully expect a codeshare to appear once the IPO is out of the way or even before to further enhance the offer.

    VA codeshares on Singapore Airlines

The question was why are there so few code share flights on SG and why are they on a limited range of fares (the latter is pretty obvious though, SG offer what they like as it is their airline)

removing one passenger from reward booking

I did this on a QFF booking late last year. Easily done. 1681630352
