Interesting numbers on the airservices page. Between July and Sept only 69 arrivals and 39 departures on runway 09. It's the last three months where I've noticed aircraft arriving on it fairly frequently so I will be very curious to read the Oct-Dec numbers when they are published.

They do seem to try as much as possible to ensure the newer 737s with IFE do the trans continental runs when used. But there are exceptions!

Yes I think they're actively pushing Melbourne people onto QF35/37-QF1 as it's always a bit cheaper and not much longer. My suspicion was they are filling the 9 out of Perth (maybe with a bit of Adelaide/WA/Whatever) traffic and don't want to sell the capacity out of Melbourne.

JB - I'm wondering about the operations of VH-EFR, the sole QF Freight 767. As far as I know its an actual QF aircraft and not a contracted out situation like the Atlas 747Fs. With only one plane in the fleet how does crewing work? There must be a tiny pool of pilots and given it seems to...
