VA has two layouts on its domestic 737-800s. The live TV equipped aircraft and VOX have 29 rows of seats. The BSI aircraft and the 10 delivered just prior to the BSIs (VUR-VUZ and BZG) have 30 rows. I am guessing they are using 738 for live TV and VOX and 73H the others.

Its to prevent the rear door from making contact with the stairs, i've witnessed several near misses over the years.

VH-VOD is the only rogue -800. It is being retired soon.

Incorrect Chris, the next two after XFD will be newly built. VH-XFE has been allocated Airbus serial number 1319. XFD is serial number 1306.

Incorrect Jack, VBU did have 3 rows of PE seats installed and the economy seats have recently been replaced with leather covered seats, its one of the 4 737-700s that VA plan to hang onto for a while.

The shorthaul inernational destitnations with the new J seats are HKT, HIR and DPS. These destinations are operated by Australian registered aircraft. The NZ registered fleet has not been retrofitted at this stage.

Correct Jock28, that aircraft was being tested by Airbus engineers prior to delivery to EY. Apparently they forgot to set the park brake prior to carrying out high power engine runs. The aircraft jumped the chocks and mounted the blast fence.

Incorrect Jack, some of the BSIs are going to be deployed on the DPS route very soon.

Hayden, althought the DPS route is marketed as a Pac Blue route, it is infact operated by Virgin Australia. Retrofitted aircraft have started to cycle through the DPS route recently.

777, 1050 was the departure time for the MEL-MCY flight pre daylight saving. The MEL airport FIDS system obviously has the old time table data loaded into it for tomorrow.
