    premium economy

At least you were lucky enough to snag a Y+ seat. We were downgrade victims last month on our flight back from HND due to the aircraft (presumably) dying in JNB? The CSM advised he was told nothing prior to boarding but soon found out when the DYKWIA J downgrade victims started playing up...

Likelihood of red e-deals for Japan in mid Dec 16?

I booked SYD-->HND on QF PE for circa 1.5k late August 2015 for 25/12/15 departure. Thought that was a very reasonable fare! Although both flights had "last minute aircraft changes" which lead to winning on departure and majorly loosing on return. Upgraded with 30k points to Business and ended...

Yeah, I was somewhat torn between both the properties. It came down to the room types for me. Tributes entry level rooms are 2 x single beds. Sheraton was heavily booked and I was therefore able to book a higher category room (preferred bed type - King) at the same 7000 point rate. I will do a...

HNL to Brisbane. Starclass Classic Award

According to 4 different reservations staff it is Qantas policy NOT to free up Jetstar award availability for WPs? Is this correct?

Not really a promotion - just a great rate. Sheraton Hokkaido Dec 31 - Jan 3 selling rooms for $1000 cash per night. Just picked up 3 nights for 21000 StarPoints (around $240) per night. Seems to be lots of availability for both Sheraton and Tribune property up there for any last minute NYE...

QF - Save when you book two or more seats together in First, Business or Premium

Sorry for the delayed response, I only just saw this. I too was confused as I thought it was going to be much more. Maybe it was a mistake fare? There was only 2 seats left at that price when I booked. I did book it on Expedia in a package to get 2.8% cashback on cashrewards and just booked 1...

QF - Save when you book two or more seats together in First, Business or Premium

I forgot to add that economy was selling at $2200. Scarily, JQ were selling OOL-NRT for $1200 (seat only!) I wonder if JQ users would even bother searching Qantas to compare? To me, that's a saving of $700 per person AND a free upgrade to premium economy! Now for all those naysayers who believe...

QF - Save when you book two or more seats together in First, Business or Premium

I actually couldn't resist this QF "treat." I had been eyeing off Xmas day fares for a while and cringed at the pricing... Just scored 2xPE to Haneda on the 747-400 xBNE on Xmas Day with a Syd First Class dinner for $1499! The fare can be upgraded for 60k per pax but I think I'll hold off.

    QF/EK Trans-Tasman F for $900

You are most welcome PaulST. I dislike playing the currency conversion game with my credit card and prefer to book in AUD. I didn't know that Australian issued Amex get bonus points on Qantas NZ? Does it just post as Qantas on your statement which therefore qualifies the bonus points?

Sale Fares to LA/Dallas $1049 return

I have booked no less than 8 successful international trips on best jet for family members with no problems. I myself have used them for a price beat. I do however acknowledge some average reviews. I guess time will tell if they are as bad as some are saying.
