I found a first class award on QF1 but there was a problem on the qantas site when it came to the cc details. I did have a booking reference which has now disappeared.

I managed to snag QF1 first class award. Error occurred when I went to enter cc details. I do have a booking reference just no payment made or points deducted as yet.

Not all searches will appear on the VA site. Eg YYZ - LHR on AC in J was available (checked on UA and expertflyer) but not appearing on the VA site. I called and was able to book over the phone. (This was back in November last year)

UA & AC awards are now showing again when searching on the VA website

While it is not a problem for those who are WP or P1 who can request seats be released but certainly an issue for everyone else.

Finnair partner redemptions aren't all that great. But 60K points for Syd-Per or Syd-Cns return in J on QF are 😁. The cost with a 100% bonus is $600-$650 + taxes.

Found a business reward seat on AC for yyz to lhr by checking United's website. Called Velocity this afternoon & the agent was able to see it. 57000 pts + about $67 in taxes. Definitely much better than the BA surcharges. ExpertFlyer showed availability on VS for jfk to lhr.
