The food at the VA lounge (and I'd also add the Qantas Club and Qantas Business Lounge in T3) has NEVER been "better" than the food available for purchase outside. It's not meant to be. But it saves me maybe hundreds of dollars per year because at least I don't need to purchase overpriced...
