They have never accepted Comp lounge passes at the LAX lounge. The only passes you can use there are P1 or Titanium for the F lounge. Your friends will not get into the OW lounge at LAX with their passes and there is no point in asking.

I don’t see how this can be spun as anything other than a massive blow to those crediting to BA, particularly those seeking lifetime status. I will likely continue to credit certain sectors to them where the Avios earning is good but I won’t be anywhere near $40K spend to retain my Gold on BAEC.

Yep, and the sweet spot for redemptions is stay 5 pay 4 at the lowest redemption rate for that hotel, generally Conrad, WA etc. I rarely use points for anything else.

I often go to the BA lounge in T3 in the mornings. It’s lovely and quiet. The CX F lounge has good food in the dining area but it’s very tired, tatty furniture and badly in need of a refurb. Also done a few departures this year from QR at T4. It’s small but very good service, lovely bathrooms...

There are several reports over the last few months of CX F Lounge LHR doing exactly the same. I have also had a family member refused access there QF Plat flying BA.
