I'm sure you are right that it will not come to fruition. However there are plenty of airports in the world where an airline has a lounge for much less than up to 16 flights daily!

I think it is poor of VA not having a lounge at CNS.

Can you confirm that if booked through the VA site, is the QR PNR also provided and confirm that this was for QR flights (their metal) as well?

Yeah maybe...but I guess in a way it's only natural as we all adjust to the new layouts, the new status collection and poor points collection. Takes a wee while to get over....and I'm guessing for many, while it was straight forward decision perhaps in the past to choose VA, maybe now, not so.

Ofcourse in the old layout (non Cong aircraft) there remains hangar space for jacket and even coat (had my own there) behind row 2 infront of 3...by the divider ....oh yeah dividers ....🤔🤭

Yeah probably. Not really sure tbh. I think VA blurb says that you can choose seats though but I assume that's only to Doha and perhaps it's not clear. I would suspect most would be going beyond Doha though so if they compare with booking with QR especially in the business cabins etc then I...

As VA platinum and therefore to certain extend for Gold, the free seat selection seems to be only only on the VA flight and not on other QR marketed flights. So for example when I tried a dummy booking to CDG from Perth, the only seats I could choose from my flight "choice" was the VA operated...

Ah well I have been on SCOOT and even with seat belt signs on the CC did not bother about pax walking around or going to the loo. Awful airline. Never again.

I did find and followed a dummy booking from Perth to Paris CDG for Jan 26. Cost is 7.5k AUD return but as usual absolutely no seat selection on the QR sectors in biz so outbid the four sectors I looked at it was only the PER-DOH flight where seat selection was possible. It's rather pathetic...

Yep a nonsense. VA think we are stupid! Plenty of flights around mid sept to Europe and UK in biz for around 7,000 AUD.
