I'm led to believe that you cannot do a seat selection on SQ metal when booked as a revenue ticket on VA. I don't even think it offers you that choice. If you book through SQ and then insert your VA status it lets you choose for nothing...however I think that is the same for anyone who books...

Actually they had toasties on offer at Perth the other morning. ! I had a "fiz" wine or two at MEL. It was chilled enough and was ok. The Chardonnay on board (it might have been because of my mood) actually tasted ok and I had a few re fills!!🤭. Perhaps my tastebuds are away to pot!! 😊

Just as an add on....MEL to PER yesterday afternoon. Again older aircraft under the good service and supervision of Tom and with me in 2F noticing that not one Y class pax crossed the rope and announcement made at start that forward toilet only for Business class. Pleasant flight.

Yes that's the problem. Same issue I had when flying ANA on a VA coded revenue ticket despite people saying use ANA PNR etc it simply did not work for seat selection until T-24 and that was on ANA website only. VA have little sway with partners it seems.

I agree with Bagpuss. Checking on staff at rear is one thing but not to such extended times and regularly that it is so noticeable to pax at the expense of high paying biz pax! It's pretty common on Perth services to and from MEL and SYD.

I'm thinking it is...well we were certainly in the decent for MEL and a few turns later seemed to be heading back that way. Just glanced at it from.the aircraft window and the airport looks smaller than what it seems on the ground!

For the first time in ages I was not in biz (cost was crazy) but I was in a very spacious legroom row 3 seat on a 11 year old 737 today from PER to MEL ...well it's tennis time!! It was beautifully furnished with a rope divider that actually worked and detered all those pax thinking about...
