Summer all day menu Roped-off menu was Kingfish tartare and Niel’s minute steak. Steak was very nice, didn’t try the fish.

That looks great, sadly I’m only going as far as Singapore this time around.

Pleasingly I actually got a reply from Qantas this morning about the positive feedback I submitted yesterday, it's a bit of a generic reply but at least an acknowledgment that the feedback was received and has been passed onto the relevant flight crew.

No issues on any of the sectors, seatbelt sign didn't come on between takeoff and landing. Chatted to the pilots on the flight deck after we landed in Singapore, they mentioned they'd had to avoid a fair bit of weather on the way in which lost us about 20 minutes, but as a passenger I hadn't...

No menu loaded for SIN-SYD either. Even the wine list which I’d kept in my seat pocket from the previous sector had disappeared. Apparently there’s a new menu starting on this route in the next couple of weeks and that caused some kind of mix-up.

If you’re into steak, Miller & Carter is fantastic. For something different, Bundobust is a vegetarian Indian restaurant inside a craft brewery outlet. A million different beer options and the sharing menu is pretty good even for a meat eater.

Wine list QF2 LHR-SIN. No menu as they didn’t load any on the flight. Had a lamb on pita entree and steamed cod with Neil’s magic salad for main.

Brilliant! It’s amazing how much better their offering is compared to what Qantas pretends is appropriate for their First on the same route.

There wasn’t a new wine list provided for SIN-LHR, but they had the same Penfolds RWT and Singleton scotch so I assume the menu was identical. The Lark whiskey wasn’t available on either sector.

I’m not a big breakfast eater so only had the Bircher muesli, which was served in a shot glass so not really what I’d expected as a bowl of cereal. Coffee was nice enough though and at 4:30am that’s probably the most important for me.

The duck noodles from SIN were my favourite, followed by the beef out of SYD. And yes, the ice cream sandwich was pretty cheaply served given the context.
