How are you accessing this site? It's asking for a username and password, with a 401 error if that is skipped.

    Worst shop small ever?

This is now the equivalent of those "share your opinion for a chance to win a $300 gift card" nonsense offers. You will only get something of value from me if you give me something valuable in return.

    Earning JAL mileage points directly.

This thread - CBA adds JAL, United and other airline transfer partners? - indicates they were a partner, removed, came back and removed again.

    Earning JAL mileage points directly.

Mixed reports as to whether the Commonwealth Bank Ultimate Awards card can transfer to JAL, when it is possible it appears to be at appalling rates.

    Virgin Atlantic joins Skyteam

I suspect this was only a matter of time given the DL and AFKL linkages. I wonder why this thread was moved out of the "Airline Aliiances" forum, but threads like "Alaska Airlines joining Oneworld" "Oman Air planning to join Oneworld in 2024" "Royal Air Maroc to join OneWorld? [CONFIRMED]" stay...

    Point Hacks' purchase of AFF

I think it's also because the nature of the programs has changed. As they have become finely honed shopping loyalty and customer behaviour analysis programs where flying is almost an afterthought, many of the true 'hacks' which arose because those running the programs were still trying to work...

    Strategy to obtain US Amex

I think it is quite quick from memory if not instantaneous. Once you link the HSBC accounts from the country where you initially qualified (through the "Global View" "Add or Remove A Country" links in Online Banking), you can see them all on your login.

SYD to SFO on a United Airlines 777

Recently flew this sector in Premium Economy one way and Business the other. The seats are fine, the food is definitely nothing to write home about. My main issue this that it is on a 777 rather than a 380/787/350, which to me means it is noisier and more likely to cause jet lag,.

Article: How Virgin Subtly Keeps International Flyers Loyal to Velocity

The title of the article should really be "How Virgin Subtly Avoids Making International Flyers Loyal To Velocity"

    Diners Club tap and pay

I'd be interested to know what the average profile of a Diners Club user is and whether it would even make sense for NAB to breathe new life into it. Since the demise of Ansett, Diners has been dying a death of a thousand acceptance cuts, other than the big chains almost no one accepts them...

Future of QF27/28 travel post covid

Whether SCL or EZE, most people will be transiting to another destination in South America. Especially now that LAN Argentina is no more, SCL is so much more practical for that. Still, it is odd that QF seems to offer LAN codeshares to smaller cities in Brazil like Florianopolis but not to...

Has Qantas lost your business due to its failure to provide customer service?

I have in my three decades of traveling experienced delays, cancellations, missed connections, poor or rude service, misdirected or damaged baggage, excessive phone waits, program enhancements etc etc on a range of airlines from AA, Delta, United, BA, Singapore, Qantas, Ansett, Virgin, LATAM...

Has Qantas lost your business due to its failure to provide customer service?

The business I give Qantas remains unchanged for me at least. I have been fortunate enough not to experience any issues on my travels, including a return trip to LHR over Christmas. My calls to customer service have been answered promptly other than last year when the NZ travel bubble burst -...

Holidays and Airport 'Chaos' since COVID

It just took the best part of an hour to get through the Qantas premium lane. Both premium and regular queues are snaking to the entry doors. One of the regular lanes is closed because of a water leak from all the rain, as well as one of the premium lanes being used as a dedicated "staff /...

Holidays and Airport 'Chaos' since COVID

I am currently half way through the priority queue in the QF terminal, the queues are all the way back to the terminal entrance. There are airport staff handing out bottles of water to those in the queue. Terminal 2 looks worse, as we drove past the queue had snaked out to run the entire length...

How long are you waiting for a response from Qantas Customer Care?

I emailed Customer Care in early January about missing points credits for 2 BA flights in December. The points were credited a week later, however at the end of March I received two emails from Qantas advising me that my claims were unsuccessful because the points had already been credited...

Qantas getting into the NFT game

I take a different view, when: - the direct expense of creating these is likely negligible; and - people continue to pay real money for these digital tulips It's smart to sell them. I would do it myself if I knew what digital art to package up as an NFT and sell for McStupid money.
