Qantas Project Sunrise goes ahead, 12 new A350-1000s ordered

I'd say it never is. The little(r) plane is just the enabler for QF (and others) to run long skinny routes. I'm saying that most Australians will still be better served by the plethora of hub/spoke routes that will get them closer to their destination in more comfort and with the same or less...

Qantas Project Sunrise goes ahead, 12 new A350-1000s ordered

Are you talking countries or cities? London isn't the UK. Hub and spoke lets ME3 serve Manchester, Glasgow, Newcastle etc. all far more convenient for many than London. Since QF only has little planes departing PER they don't really need "plenty of people", just enough stuck on ones happy to go...

Qantas Project Sunrise goes ahead, 12 new A350-1000s ordered

Interesting how much of QF9/10 traffic is from MEL? I imagine it'll plummet once it only goes from PER. Not starting a flight to LHR with a 737 leg.

QF12 Business Class to First Upgrade

It may be a work trip, but it's vacation from the moment you start heading for home (or it should treated as one).

Just when you thought you had seen it all in the Qantas lounge...

Why? The perpetrator wasn't concerned about the act in a public place, they had no concern or understanding of their audience at the time they performed the act but knew they were doing it in a public place. Why does it become everyone else's problem to insulate them from their actions...

Just when you thought you had seen it all in the Qantas lounge...

Yet the original post was about filing nails. The detritus from filling nails over the carpet may be no less offensive to most (myself included) it will be completely invisible compared to cutting nails over a table.

Just when you thought you had seen it all in the Qantas lounge...

With the background noise of a lounge you wouldn't hear a decibel from a nail being filed.

    QF new Look Booking website

I tried looking for some CR seats yesterday and it was impossibly slow and VERY unusable. If you tick the box for flexible with dates and have asked for J CR flights then just give me the calendar matrix with available J seat dates, or the multi booking calendar with all CR class availability...

Qantas A380 refurbishment news and updates

QFs 787 has an inch more pitch than the A380 and with a newer model seat I think there's actually more usable space than that. The 787 width issue is very real and not an exclusively QF thing. Without a neighbour the 787 Y seat is quite comfortable, but when adults can't sit upright next to...

Melbourne EV Car Ride Service - GoBlu-EV

And driven emission free after being charged overnight with brown coal generated electricity?

Qantas A220 seating charge - is this a scam?

I stand half corrected - the above blurb is for international, not yet an A220 service.

Qantas A220 seating charge - is this a scam?

Extra leg room seats don't appear to be a published P1 perk - preferred "upfront" seats are, but not extra legroom. Given QF has never really had cabin configurations that had any meaningful extra legroom seats except for safety or logistical reasons, it is not really something that has been...

Just when you thought you had seen it all in the Qantas lounge...

If people feel the need to do it, it is really their choice, but why would you want to expose your bare feet to all the piss, poo, and everything else that is being spread around on the floor, tables, aircraft walls etc. I'd be objecting to those individuals setting foot in my house. Just like...

Just when you thought you had seen it all in the Qantas lounge...

Unless you're deemed to be wearing "work boots" at the wrong time then you can't get in even though they obviously meet any safety requirement.

Qantas cancelled my Air France classic award flight without refund or notification - what are my options?

To QF or via QF? What's the difference between what is made available to QF vs what it chooses to make available to its FFs? It is probably interested in pushing potential pax to its own CDG flights...

Article: Most of today's flights to Sydney are sold out due to Taylor Swift

They used to run an A330 mel-syd and return at peak morning/evening return daily as well as one that seemed to provide a more international appropriate standard for connection to QFi Sydney departures in the afternoon from what I recall.

Article: Most of today's flights to Sydney are sold out due to Taylor Swift

I couldn't quite decide what the topic of this thread was, TS or flights? Anyway, it does show that perhaps Sydney's problem isn't too few slots but too small planes. Exactly what the A380 was conceived for and in this case what it was used for. I do wonder perhaps if slots utilisation might...

    Qantas Platinum One experiences?

The offer really has no value if you are not interested in it. It really suggests QF didn't know it's customer or it would have offered something you valued.

Qantas Business Class meals & menus

Low/no expectations and you shouldn't be disappointed. QF don't seem to over cater so don't expect to get what you hope for.

    Platinum shadow seat

WP in both A and C and they still put someone in B. It's a fallacy I think. Agree B may be better than A or C but don't have any expectations.
