    Incorrect panicked instructions to passengers

No doubt the Head of Cabin crew and Chief Pilot will be having words.

Jetstar no longer selling Max bundle in Economy

It’s all about driving higher ancillary revenue at the end of the day. Really crafting the ancillary product for each market specifically. They have called this about in recent results about driving this revenue.

Virgin and Qantas to ban power bank use

I thought some have been in lockers and not in use when caught fire. Access to charging isn’t as challenging as it was 10-20 years ago. Just be done with the things.

    "The co-pilot slept in"

Management won’t like that just like they apparently didn’t like that Fiji life jacket PA which was reported the other week by one outlet.

    “new” QF B737-800s

I think the point was more about the QF training department not letting pilots fly it unless ticked off for differences training on it. The differences up front on these machines only appear minimal so I’d imagine it’s nothing too in depth. AV was talking about this on another thread around the...

    Virgin CNS-MEL redeye

Looks like the crew and aircraft are different for each leg as it seems to fly BNE-CNS-MEL, and the MEL-CNS aircraft becomes the overnighting aircraft which operates the first flight out of Cairns at 6am. Tiger operated a similar flight back in the day when they launched Cairns, was slightly...

Virgin Sydney Premium Entry Permanently Closing

They make these decisions long before any announcement and any customer feedback makes 0% difference in this case.

Virgin Sydney Premium Entry Permanently Closing

Is a full lounge renewal program on the cards anytime soon? I feel like Sydney needs it, bit ratty if you ask me.

Emirates load factors on SYD-CHC route

Do the same crew do the turnaround?

Virgin Sydney Premium Entry Permanently Closing

So it’s either an airport management directive or a cost cutting move on Virgin’s end. No doubt it costs a bit to run.

    “new” QF B737-800s

I wonder if reducing flights simply means sending in a cheaper subsidiary like National Jet Systems (A220)

    “new” QF B737-800s

Are they intending to send the old NGs to a 4th D check? Or is that it, off to the scrap yard?

    Flybuys Targeted Bonus Promotions

After 4 months of 10k offers it seems the love has now ended. Off to do a 3 week 18k Woolies offer. No idea who will get my December spend, the ball is in your court Colesworth! Bribe away 🤣

    Jetstar Club verdict

The base fare structure with discounts is probably a bit scammy as the pricing would no doubt be the same if the program didn’t exist, but the discount add ons can be worth it.

    Jetstar B787 Reliability Issues

All 787s now back in Australia it seems, hopefully a clear run through peak, it appears they have a spare up their sleeve looking at the schedules over peak.

    Jetstar B787 Reliability Issues

VKJ back today after a month in HKG. Back in service this arvo. Interesting that they are getting some work done prior to entering a heavy check next year. Must have some serious issues to fix.

JQ Avalon expansion. DPS/ADL/BNE double daily.

Smart I guess. The overall seat count across the Melbourne Basin into Bali won’t change on JQs end, but they pickup a whole bunch of assumed funding and subsidies, so overall seat cost should come down. Remains to be seen what the taxpayer gains but that’s a story for another day.

JQ Avalon expansion. DPS/ADL/BNE double daily.

I spoke too soon in the other thread. March next year . I somewhat believe this would be a deal with the Victorian Government considering the last Avalon deal is expiring, and that big terminal is sitting idle. The last 10 year deal with Labor ends this year. I wonder where the bilaterals are...
