Caveat to international lounges, this morning in SYD J lounge, there are paper towels but much more flimsy than the ones we were all used to. They feel almost like wet wipes that aren't wet :-/

That’s a bit surprising. I haven’t seen group boarding in action on Intl flights yet, but on domestic, the scanners deny boarding and the staff point to the red light and tell people to step aside until their group is called.

A lot of third party lounges just don’t seem to care about upkeep. I was in “The House” in Sydney earlier in the year. I never saw it in its Etihad days but apparently it used to be a great lounge. Now that it’s a contract lounge, the furniture didn’t look much better than this, sadly.

This is a really good point! Even more important when many LCCs only have one or two flights a week on certain routes. A bit of weather or a plane with a tech issue can have major scheduling impacts. Thanks @RooFlyer ☺️
