Didn't bother entering as 1) I've never had any luck with 'tell us in 25 words' competitions and not feeling lucky and 2) I'm MEL based so it's going in the wrong direction for me. (I can't tie it in with a status run!)

In my recent QF flights they've made and repeated the announcements to keep power banks out of the overhead lockers and within easy reach. I probably have to agree with jb747, a blanket ban seems inevitable.

I've had it so easy, I'm positive there are far far worse process out there. But even then I feel like the visa application systems of various governments are intent on seriously getting you to question your willingness to proceed or live. Recently did Indonesia and Vietnam and they were painful...

When I really need to wake up (such as for an early flight), I set two alarms a few minutes apart. On the same device is fine. Sometimes I can barely consciously switch off or snooze an alarm and then sleep deeply for a dangerously long time afterwards. Always have least two pens in carry-on...

Pick one of the hotels @33kft mentioned based on your willingness to spend, they're all within ready walking distance. It's long enough that trying to sleep in a chair is very unattractive to me and I'd rather the humanity that a private room and bathroom provides, fresh for the next day of flying.

Around halfway through the T&Cs it says "All bookings must be new to be eligible." This is more for the DSC/double points thread, than a loyalty bonus query...
