I caught the ferry from Helsinki to Tallinn. Tram from central station is easy enough to get as someone said further up (HSL app). Arrives a short walk from Tallin old area. I stayed at the Citybox which is close to the ferry terminal and nearby to a supermarket. About a 10min walk to old town...

I just returned home from FLL the other week. FLL-IAH-LAX-TPE-SIN/XSB-SZB/KUL-MNL-SYD. On 4 separate tickets with 4 airlines. Mostly consisted to try Starlux premium economy and fly in/out of Seletar and Subang.

I’ve also had the fee waived. Had a United ticket to the US booked. When I went to cancel, she mentioned there had been a schedule change (it was a 5min adjustment and I was notified weeks before) so she would waive the fee. It does seem like they’re quite lenient. I’m gold.

F correct. Tho I’ve gotten it successfully twice from easyjet (planes gone tech/cancellations) and once denied by Swiss due to air space restrictions over India. It’s a leisurely holiday so no big deal if I’m a day or two late.

I have about 4-5hrs in FRA to connect to GOT. Then an overnight before the GOT-CDG-GRU-BSB flights. If anything does go majorly wrong and I miss the connects, the EU compensation would more than offset it! ;-)

I just remembered I also once few NYC-CDG except I went LGA-CVG-LAX-FRA-LHR-CDG. Then later that trip, to get home I flew MAD-BCN-LHR-FRA-BKK-SYD. Apparently “why fly direct when you can connect” applies strongly to me… 😅

I'm headed to Brasilia next year and in order to get there, I'm flying SYD-HKG-FRA-GOT-CDG-GRU-BSB... On 3 different tickets... 😬

Also highly recommend. Stayed here in January and got a King corner room. Spectacular views of the city, close to good coffee and transit options. While not in the heart of the old city area, its just a short stroll and a nice quiet area. Rooms are modern and spacious.

Have they rebooked you onto something else?

Those YVR pax definitely are entitled to the compensation. I had mine approved within a week of my flight :-)

My apologies I missed it. Is the main reason high utilisation of B787s and all out of place? Any reason why YVR seems to be particularly badly affected? Will see what QF says tomorrow at check in, but will affect Canadian compensation laws depending on reason.
