If I was a Platinum and could have seats released to support the use of my points on Classic Rewards, I would have zero points also. Fact is, sitting currently with 1.6m points and it’s near on impossible for premium cabins. Seats on many routes 12 months out literally have zero availability...

Singapore would fit the criteria. Fairmont Singapore would be my pick.

I received an invite for this..seems the money can’t buy part is access to the pre game warm up and the signed jersey. Not the tickets themselves.

Reckon it would be a bit much to ban peoples accounts. It was reported everywhere and as far as people knew, it was just a regular promotion. A mass downgrade, possibly as it’s IHG. But anything more would be pretty poor form…and drive customers even further away.

The new website is that bad it’s enough to turn me off using it, and I buy a lot of wine lol. How on earth did it pass user acceptance testing? So many issues it’s hard to know where to start.…

I am just about done with my OWA. After over coming cancelled AA flights getting back to MEL from LAX, now my flight from MEL-HKG on QF and HKG - FCO on CX has seen the latter flight canceled leaving me stranded in HKG. Was probably looking iffy anyway with CX‘s viability shrinking by the day...

An update on my cancelled AA flight from LAX-HND…waited 1.5 hours on the phone to Qantas and for once it was worth it. Managed to get a really helpful agent who without any prompting, was able to offer up an alternative on QF from LAX-BNE-MEL which actually works out much better for me so...

All well and good if there is a solution available….i.e classic award availability.

Just had a flight part of my OWA….LAX to HND in August cancelled which buggers my whole trip. No alternate option offered. Not sure what I am meant to do here but contact Qantas and have the whole trip cancelled? I can’t see any other alternatives that will get me to my connecting flight back...

Interesting, because if I fly out of FCO to JFK with IB via MAD then my taxes are $1530. A simple change to BA through LHR changes that to $2700.

Ended up completing my booking MEL-HKG-FCO-JFK-AZA-OGG-LAX-HND-NRT-MEL for next August. Took a lot of work but got there in the end. $1530 in taxes for 2 pax.

Just remember going through LHR will ramp up your taxes big time…even if only transiting. For my trip and 2 pax, increased the taxes by $1400.

There are some weird things going on with HND. I have had booking issues and through the process of elimination worked out that flying into NRT and out of HND direct back to MEL is not allowed. Yet if I change to flying out of HND the long way via SYD it allows the booking which is a pain.

Well, with the booking errors still showing up and preventing me from booking a trip online, took my chance on a long wait time on the phone and only to get someone that had no idea. Got a few flights in when she told me to hold the line and proceeded to hang up on me….too hard obviously. Doing...

Managed to select all my flights and get through to the payment page and then this happened…does this mean it’s a phone call booking now?
