    Logistics question

Hi all, hoping someone can help with these logistics questions. QF022 (NRT-SYD) and then QF391 (SYD-NAN, FJ metal). 1. At NRT, assume bags can be checked through to NAN? 2. Can QF at NRT issue boarding passes for QF391? VA154 (NAN-SYD) and then QF021 (SYD-NRT) 3. Assume VA can only check...

Have you received your new Qantas Card? Apply for Qantas Cash today.

Still waiting to receive my card - this despite m'ship year ending on 30 Sept; multiple calls to QFF since mid-Sept; multiple assurances that the card has been sent; and "express delivery" that has been anything but express! In all my years with QF, this is the only debacle I have experienced -...

    Quality of experience on RJ

Hi all, I'm flying RJ for the first time this month, completing a number of sectors in the Middle East. I'll be transiting AMM a couple of times. Can anyone comment on the quality of the RJ flight experience in either Y or J, and on the quality of the RJ lounges in AMM? Thanks.

    QF WP in MH Economy...

Hi, I flew MH on a return KUL-HKT trip. No special treatment for QF WP. The standard of the MH Golden Lounges in KUL is pretty ordinary - the main terminal lounge is superior to the regional platinum lounge in the Satellite building. No preferred seating or express pass.

4x Int. J Flights, not one sitting next to my wife.

I thought that all pax on same booking would be seated together by default, and only separated if someone with access to the booking details selected seats to that effect.

    Double Status Credits 2013

I just got that email and am in similar boat having comfortably qualified to retain WP. The offer covers two months of my new year so it'll help set up re-qualification for 2015.

Offered earlier flight but only middle seat available!

One of my worst air travel fears is someone spilling over the armrest into my seat. I'm a pretty small framed person and am a certified germaphobe so physical contact with a sweaty person on a plane does my head in. As far as I'm concerned it's an invasion of the personal space that I have...

Offered earlier flight but only middle seat available!

I'm with you. Sitting in waiting for booked flight in lounge and working/reading is better than suffering in middle seat.

Upgraded to Business with $$$ on Check-in on FJ, want Business Earn from QFF

I was offered and took up a USD$150 Y to J upgrade on a JL flight to NRT when I checked in at JFK at the start of last year. Only Y points and SCs credited but I seem to recall that was mentioned at the time.

Long stopover and using Hong Kong departure lounge before entering Hong Kong

Because you're flying into HKG on CX, The Arrival is the easiest option. It's not a particularly flash lounge, but in terms of a shower, shave and quick snack before heading into town, it's a good option. I've used it a few times.

    1st Class Lounge

I would echo others, the b'fast option in the First Lounge will be better than at the Rydges!

What's Your All Time Favorite Hotel Amenity?

The inbound transfer at Vinpearl Resort (Nha Trang, Vietnam) a few years back involved a Mercedes ride followed by a speedboat ride across to the island where the resort is located. Felt very James Bond.

Recommendations on Hiltons in Beijing and Shanghai

Hi all. Planning a trip to China. Does anyone have recommendations on the better Hilton property in each of the following cities? "Better" being defined as nicer amenities, superior service, quality of food available in executive lounge. I am a HHonours Diamond member. Shanghai: Hilton...

Elite treatment at Hilton Surfers Paradise

I concur with others on the standards of HSP - definitely a 3 star feel. The only thing executive about the lounge is the name. Having breakfast there is like sorting out your own cereals and toast for breakfast in the kitchen at school camps 20+ years ago... The Hilton at LAX was the same...

What's Your All Time Favorite Hotel Amenity?

    US Airways Lounges

Thanks! I was hoping they might be better than the AA Admirals Clubs. Even AA's Flagship Lounges are pretty ordinary in my view.

    US Airways Lounges

With the transition of US Airways across to OW early next year I'm curious to know how their lounge product compares to American and QF lounges. Is anyone able to provide feedback from personal experience?

    Involuntary seat change

In years of travelling, including a two year period where I was doing an interstate/international trip every fortnight, I've never been bumped from my pre-selected seat.
