With all the airplane argy-bargy, not sure why you'd bother when QR offers $3.2k fares to MXP with a decent haul of QFF points and SCs out of KUL. (Sample dates 7/5-28/5) (Only 'lite' fares for that price, mind you, but for $3.6k you can be on a classic fare, or WY or CX.)

Another possible advantage of placing an order over the phone. My order is being delivered by AusPost after I had a grizzle about Aramex. I don't know whether this would have happened otherwise (it may well have anyway of course).

Looks like you need to be in NSW? But perhaps you could do a parcel collect at AusPost, then after ordering hit up customer service and get them to redirect it to your actual address? This has worked for me within Victoria. Never tried it interstate though.

D on MH earns SCs at full business class rates for partner airlines. The business class rate on partner airlines (including MH) between MEL and KUL is clearly stated in that table as being 60SCs. Before September 2025, it would have earned 30SCs at the flexible economy rate.

QF is well-known for nerfing status credit earn on partner airlines out of the east coast of Australia to SE Asia and the middle east. BA, AY, CX, MH, QR and JL all have dreadful earn rates. 60 SCs in business class each way is correct. See this table.
