I think I must still be on Amex's naughty list. Applied for the Qantas Ultimate card earlier this arvo and got the '5-10 day' email with no other requests for information. Ah well, next year... No hard enquiries on file since late 2024, but did have a fair bit of Citi activity last year...

Last recycling pickup was this morning and the 'activity completed' has posted in the app. Now to wait for the final leaf to appear.

As an aside, instore receipts are available on Coles Online too under 'Instore Purchases'. Fortunately no glitches re the date on the receipt (either printed or online) but no sign of the week two offer on the app.

I have week 2 of a 2x$60 spend at Flybuys for 2000 points while Woolworths has offered... nothing at all this week. For me then, the Flybuys offering is infinitely better...

This is ordinarily true, but Qatar offers a guarantee for Q Suites. It's only if you're on ticket on Qatar 157 stock (i.e. not VA stock), allowing for free rebooking up to 21 days either side. Hence, the OP is not entitled to a rebooking as a consequence of the aircraft change. QSuites are...

Ah - there's a 50 night cap with Accor China cards from using cards so perhaps the Amex nights counted towards that?

Was that the first card you bought, or had you bought other cards before to get 30 nights?

On what basis? Did you buy the 30 night one and only get 20 nights (or was it because you hit the cap)?

I'm guessing they'll be like most other OTAs - fine if nothing needs changing/goes wrong but one of the circles of hell if they do. Hence you need a big discount over booking direct to compensate for that risk - which is the case here.

Anyway, back on topic, as well as Y, there are also very tasty J fares on MU and CZ at the moment (if you're prepared to take a punt on booking though Aunt Betty/BYOJet using Skyscanner). For example, you can fly MEL-AMS/CDG from just over $4.4k on CZ on some days in March and April next year...

It's a recurring theme here that some members run around going 'CCP airline!' without articulating why this is a problem. However, as you note, there are many other airlines owned by governments that are unpleasant by Australian standards (Qatar, Etihad, Emirates and Vietnam Airlines all spring...
