Who else still holds the Citibank Free For Life Premier Card?

I think it's more that there are a few people who are being overwhelmed by confirmation bias. They're so convinced that NAB will screw them over that they don't (or can't) believe they haven't. Has NAB got a track record of screwing customers over? Yup. Is it possible that NAB may try and...

Who else still holds the Citibank Free For Life Premier Card?

Spot on. The key wording is "'Your fee' in the table above refers to the Annual Fee amount that you're currently paying, including any promotional discounts or waivers.' To expand on this, I (like other FFFL cardholders) have in the financial table Citibank sent me many years ago, and to which...

Second Test, Australia v England, 4-8 December 2025

Pleased with my decision to stump up the extra $10 to get Kayo Premium when chasing status credits last month. The 4K feed from the Gabba looks rather good I must say.

Either - so buying $100 of Apple gift cards will do it ATM.

Buying Qantas top-up points with a bonus: Worth it?

I work on the basis that I'm buying points, so I always subtract the value of the points (at a notional 1cpp) to get a rough idea of the value of the wine.

    2027 travel plans

Oh yes, I do try and persuade her back, but no dice so far. But if we do Antarctica (or we win the lottery and do the Arctic on Le Commandant Charcot), then Ponant's a prime candidate...

    2027 travel plans

Nice! I've got an Iceland and Greenland cruise planned for August 2027 on Holland America which, while they slug me with a solo supplement, is still about half the price of Ponant per night. (Sadly, the friend I usually cruise with got bored with Ponant's on-board activities and disliked the...

Who else still holds the Citibank Free For Life Premier Card?

Stop poking the bear! If they plan to impose a fee, they will tell you in advance. The time to do anything is then - and NOT BEFORE!

    Everyday Rewards Targeted Offers

FWIW, for those who didn't get the first few offers, my first three offers are: 1. 10x points on prawns and seasonal bakery 2. 5x points on a $50+ shop at Big W 3. 10x points at BWS (Far more useful is 2000 points for a $70 in-store shop at Woolworths Metro ending 24/12.)

Yup - 'Rewards' cards are losing insurance. Other rewards cards are not.

Buying Qantas top-up points with a bonus: Worth it?

Absolutely (although I've now resorted to giving much of what I buy away!). The only real advantage of buying points (vs similarly priced wine) is that they're awarded instantly. That unicorn award might have vanished by the time Qantas Wines credits points.

Buying Qantas top-up points with a bonus: Worth it?

Indeed. But it was an example of how points can be used for arbitrage. Yes, all points count (no 125K limit).

Buying Qantas top-up points with a bonus: Worth it?

It's usually something like that, although I must say that when buying wine for redeeming on US flights, I've often found it cheaper to buy wine and redeem than pay cash. For example, I needed to book a flight between PDX and YVR for August 2026. I could either pay Alaska $US242 in Y or $US295...

Buying Qantas top-up points with a bonus: Worth it?

The best 'standard' prices for wine are about 1.9cpp (this is the current best offer), but PCP members get 10% off and there may be triple points in the offing as well as vouchers to apply. FWIW, the last wine order I did was $430.60 ($534 less 10% off for PCP less a $50 PCP voucher) and netted...

Buying Qantas top-up points with a bonus: Worth it?

Another 'buy points' offer has lobbed in. This time, there's a 60% bonus for purchases of 100K or more, giving 240K points for $4k, so 1.66cpp.
