Va are marketing themselves bet QF and J*. Want the perks, hot meal (debatable as whether edible), drinks, WiFi, better lounges esp the Qf business lounges etc, pay more to fly Qf. Want cheaper fares (both Y and J), fly Va with less perks. If price is everything, fly J*! Above is info a Bain...

Yeah very aware that La Paz is 3600m. We will be flying from Bogota (2500m) where we will have been for 4 nights. Will be taking Diamox, and the hotel we will be staying has oxygen if needed. I have had altitude sickness before, and it was horrible!

I will have this as well after my flight into La Paz in 3 weeks. :)

Sums up my experience with J*. I like the cheap airfares eg Syd-Lst rtn for ~ $100 when on sale. I usually travel HLO and weigh my carryon to make sure it is 7kg or less. I wear my heavy jacket, with powerbanks etc in its pockets ;) SYD-Sgn in J (OK premium economy) which I have done twice now...

I do both. Some I book myself, others I get a good TA to sort out ;)

When my kids were in Yr 12, we were paying in low 30s. Both their schools are around the 50K mark now! Certainly frees up my cash for other things now ;)
