Pay more for a Window or Aisle seat

Acknowledgement on my part other airlines offer similar arrangements; I however have never tried Qantas's offering but I have had experienced SQ's offering.

Pay more for a Window or Aisle seat

How's this different from Qantas's practise of charging more for some seats? I paid ~$50 for a 'preferred' seat whilst on SQ - Sing - Syd recently. As I booked quite late, the alternative was to be stuck in a middle seat. It was on a A380 - top deck, emergency aisle. If I was stuck in a middle...

Silverkris lounges - Sydney & Kuala Lumpur

Yup had to flash the VA card. Have to do the same in SG, KL and MELB too. Interestingly, in KL and SG they note the details down on a form for processing. I've on the odd occasion just walked into the lounge in KL because the dragons were not at the entrance. Guess they were too busy picking up...

    Qf: Syd-kul?

If you want Qantas all the way Jetstar's required. Not seen any other Oneworld carrier on this sector when I looked. The Jetstar flights are not the most convenient if flying for business with meetings etc. Arrival and deparure times are more suited towards the leisure class. It's for this...

Does anybody fly Jetstar Business Max??

I did from Melb to Sin; needed it for the SCs. Service was OK;didn't like the blankets in the plane though; left me fluffy all around the pants.

Silverkris lounges - Sydney & Kuala Lumpur

I believe one. I'm sure there were at least 20-30 of those tables. It was full at 7 that morning with a few folks standing around for good measure.

Silverkris lounges - Sydney & Kuala Lumpur

Sounds like a market research :) question. I thought the staff knew what the privileges were and we're friendly. The experience was pretty consistent across Syd, KL and Singapore. I even did a KL to Singapore on SilkAir (codeshare SQ) and managed to walk into the lounge in KL after flashing VA...

Silverkris lounges - Sydney & Kuala Lumpur

I recently had the opportunity to sample SQ212 from Sydney to Singapore (0805) in Y. I travelled, courtesy as VA Gold. Checkin - Used the business lane. Fast and efficient. Given an express boarding pass. The checkin staff was very helpful. Even offering to block the seat next to me to provide...

    Express departure card

They APEC counter is at other end of immigration - whereas with the Express Card - it's straight through the express lane. There's also a semi dedicated lane at the last bag scan lane with the express card where the card is collected. Interestingly enough - Cathay and Singapore Airlines...

Status run advise - 330SC required

Update on this - I've done the required travel - combination of routing through Perth - Sin, as well as Jetstar business (Mel - Sin) and finished off with FASA BKK - SYD (90k points + ~$500AUD - cannot remember the exact amount). Now sitting on WP with about 2 months before the reset occurs...

    Awesome J lounge wifi!

I was in the FLounge in BKK on 20th April; the wireless was fine then. The lounge was a pleasant experience - apart from the guy from CBR who insisted on sharing his experience with the whole lounge (especially his drinking exploits and how the techs from Microsoft don't drink and when they...

    Starwood upgrade thread.

Wouldn't hurt to quote them your number - I can't stress Alanslegal point - the booking must not be done through most of the online booking sites - hotelclub, wotif, lastminute etc. I say most - there are exceptions - Amex Corporate travel being one. For future reference - make use of SPG's...

    Starwood upgrade thread.

Not sure - I've not used Marriott - I'm only a silver member under the Marriott's rewards programme. The outside of the hotel does look fancier then Westin - if that's an indication of better facility.

    Starwood upgrade thread.

I've stayed here a few times - and the process has been simple - rock up to front desk, lots of typing, followed by - ".. we've upgraded you to...." I've stayed at both Sheraton Imperial, and Westin in KL - and can say I like the Westin better. It has a 'newish' feel, and is closer to a lot of...

Status run advise - 330SC required

All Need some advise. I've been trawling through the site, and had a look at the excellent resourcew. I'm now at the stage, with about 3months to go, needing another 330points to reach Plat. I've a couple of Sydney -> Singapore trips coming up(officially on Y), and would like to know what I...

Premium Economy (PE) and above fares

Thanks for that. Got some good fare on JASA to SG via Perth recently. Trying to get on Plat - about 390 short, with 4months to go. Looks like it'll be touch and go ... again! Let me know if you have any other tips! ;-)

Premium Economy (PE) and above fares

Greetings all Long time lurker - first time poster. Excellent info can be found on some of these threads :-) Thanks all! On to a question: Has anyone done any comparison on prices - is it possible to get cheaper PE and above tickets from corporate travel agents vs qantas.com (or other online...
