Qantas Staff Incompetence - Ticketed 2 adults and not infant, leading to denied boarding

I think you have highlighted a downside to being an 'ultra' frequent flyer: the blase nature that can creep in with regular travel, and you miss the bleeding obvious. I am glad I am not the only one who makes schoolboy mistakes!

    Alcohol duty free concession

I have brought through many bottles more than the DFA and offered to pay duty on them. This was at the height of peak travel, which is the last issue the authorities want to deal with. Fortunately, these days it's much more convenient to handle such situations with Dan.

Qantas Staff Incompetence - Ticketed 2 adults and not infant, leading to denied boarding

Until a poster reverts with sufficient detail, the good folk on AFF have every right to be sceptical of the possible motives behind these types of posts - especially those OPs with minimal track record. I posed a few questions which went unanswered, confirming my suspicions on a few levels.

Carpet: 1. No more than 40kg. 2. Must be folded in square and total of each length is no more than 203cm. 3. Only one prepaid pet allowed per passenger. It is subject to reservation availability. This would send the old ducks at Red Roo into an apoplectic fit.......

Middle East Airspace Closures [QF9 to LHR cancelled]

What happens if you tick “yes” to respiratory symptoms when you check in?

I know some fit Europeans who have been struck down by nasty bugs recently—this has been a particularly harsh season. I always carry flu tabs, nasal spray, antibiotics, and throat gargle in my streamlined carry-on. A face covering can be protective. The aircraft ventilation systems are...

"The perfect destination for everyone" - is that even possible?

No perfect destination exists in my lexicon or experience and therefore I doubt it would in many others experiences. In any case we all change and what may suit in April may not suit in May!

What happens if you tick “yes” to respiratory symptoms when you check in?

There are lots of rules everywhere to protect administrators and organisations when things go wrong. It is a case of exercising common sense and being reasonable within the bounds of polite consideration. You ought to be best to decide what that is.

Hertz - Electric car fuel charge

I am hearing the opposite, too much hassle for the time-poor renters. EVs work best when city-driven from home charging, therefore owned, and the infrastructure is available. I was in CDG last week and seeking a rental car with only EVs available at one stage - very telling.
