Qantas have had an extra 747 based at Melbourne since OEI returned from maintenance in HKG. They are rotating the aircraft that isn't in use each day - today it is OJT. Normally this aircraft would be in SYD.
Could this be due to not enough space at SYD?

Qantas has had several of issues on international flights this last week.
QF8 diverted to LAX due to technical issue with VH-OEF on 16 March, resulting in a 24 hour delay.

VH-OJL positioned from Sydney to Brisbane to operate the flight some 8 hours late. Does anyone know what happened to the aircraft that resulted in it turning back?
On Oct 24, QF11 is not operating Syd-LAX, however QF12 is still operating LAX-Syd as a 747. Both QF107 and QF108 are operating that day, so how does QF12 operate if there is no QF11, which aircraft would they use?
