I have noticed that the qantas.com website is much nicer. Maybe they will fix the award booking issues we've had so much trouble with, such as ability to search for reward flights etc

So the moral of the story is buyer beware, and if its not the class you thought, cancel and try again. But this trial-and-error approach seems ludicrous. How can we ensure we get the fare class we want when they are not advertised?

Are there any grounds to complain or request a refund, if after purchasing finding that a fare that was bought with the intention of upgrading with a classic upgrade is ineligible for upgrade?

Any tricks and tips with AA checked luggage rules/prices? Seems ridiculous I need to pay them again for luggage after an international flight.
