As much as I don't like the sound of a VA/NZ merger it really does seem to make sense and will enable both to compete effectively against QF on trans-tas. The VA/QR partnership also makes even more sense post-VA/NZ merger too.

I feel like connecting times at LAX are really variable. I've read about horrendous experiences and long wait times however the connections I've made at LAX have always been fairly quick and painless. Perhaps it comes down to the day of week and seasonal traffic??

Yeh its a matter of what works best for you. For me, I love the current rolling 12 month system VA has. Its much better for me than QF's fixed "membership year" system.
