I tried a couple of months ago and it worked but you have raised my doubts. I always seem to arrive on the last flight so the lounges are shutting down.

If you aspire to WP then I may imagine it may be worth it, even if flying J. Think of SYD INT J lounge vs F lounge. Not sure of the difference in the EK lounges in DXB. Have only been in F lounges there.

Well, Billings is not unknown in England and there were emigrants to the USA called Billings, and probably NZ, so all could be related.

I once saw someone try and put a large suitcase through security scanners as if it was carry-on. They were invited to check it in.

My recent experience last week. WLG (Int) Priority first SYD (Dom) Priority First TSV--free for all CNS Two queues both boarding together. BNE Priority first SYD (INT) Priority first. Turned away a J Pax as they tried to jump the priority queue through the non-priority lane. Was sent back...

I agree. I have seen J pax struggle to find space in an overhead locker on a 737, particulary as the lifeboat is now in that space.

Sorry if someone has raised this already. You would think that Qantas would encourage people to use their points as it is probably a financial liability on their balance sheet. Reducing that liability should be Qantas's aim. On my part I have mostly used Points + Pay because classic rewards...

Make sure you buy the Tim Tams in a supermarket. The airport prices are horrendous.

There was some comment about disturbing PAX during the switch mid-flight. But surely that could be no more disturbing than a PAX going to the bathroom? Who returns to the seat should cause no more inconvenience. And familiarising with the technology is again no more inconvenient than a...
