You are right to be wary. We stayed at the Timor Plaza hotel last June. Used booking.com for a good cash back deal but the pay at property thing got us. Their credit card machine was down or at least not working for our range of cards. Cash from the ATM in the carpark was the solution.

So hit and miss. I had success adding it at the airport in HNL for two flights, one agent told me it was under VA in the list so wasnt obvious for her to find. I tried adding it a previous time using the Hawaiian Web chat and they said they'd done it but nothing ever posted. 🤷‍♂️

Flew scoot once many years ago to OOL. They were food naz_s on that flight. Got told off for opening a small bag of crisps. Lady behind us asked for hot water for her own noodle bowl and when they said no way she asked to buy a cup of tea without the tea bag! Scoot was very new at the time...

You get escorted by security out the back to a lift next to a loading dock. You then go up a level in the lift, through some doors and pop out into the terminal past where the lounge exit is and enter the lounge via the main entry. Annoying.

Wonder what the loads are like on the 2:15am NZ947 flights? I guess it could be good for picking up connections out of AKL, but a 4 hour red eye on an all Y A320 sounds brutal. I would rather get the daytime NZ945 on a 787/777 and stay in a hotel if going via AKL. Guess those weird NZ947 flights...
