    JetStar International Upgrade Options

But then further down it says: "Permitted fare/bundle changes Subject to payment of Change Fee applicable at the time of booking and Fare Difference applicable at time of change, Starter fares can be changed to an available Starter fare, Starter fare with Flex bundle, Starter fare with Plus...

    JetStar International Upgrade Options

Hope you don't mind me bringing up an old thread but the subject seemed appropriate for my question. If my work buys me a "Starter" fare (that doesn't earn Qantas points) as it's the cheapest priced ticket, but I want to earn Qantas points - can I upgrade my ticket after it's been purchased...

QF award booking on AA changed not enough transit time

Qantas (on each of the calls) said AA would rebook us on the next available flight in the same cabin. There are a number of 6am departure flights from LAX> SYD. Only annoyance is they're through Dallas. But I suppose that's what the reality is. I've been told QF12 has no J award availability...

QF award booking on AA changed not enough transit time

We should find each other at SFO. I am on the exact same flight and have spent 2hrs on the phone to Qantas 3 separate times today to try and resolve this but they won't budge. 1. I booked a Business award flight and as it's 1 ticket SFO > SYD they cannot change the SFO > LAX part as AA has no...

Managing AA booking made with QF

After a 3rd call: - Cannot book another airline as the original ticket is "SFO > SYD" with AA. It's just that this ticket stops in LAX. This also means I cannot cancel the SFO > LAX leg as it's the same ticket and that'd cancel the whole thing they've told me - Flights the day after, and QF12...

Managing AA booking made with QF

Their response (after they kept having to "speak to the support team") was even though there was an Alaska Airways flight "because it was an award seat they couldn't move things". There were also 2 other AA flights with great times, but apparently they weren't feasible either. I did tell Qantas...

Managing AA booking made with QF

Of course... Qantas call centre said Qantas doesn't own the ticket as AA has taken over the ticket. So I call AA and they say Qantas still owns the ticket and Qantas has to make any changes. Back to Qantas and after 1hr they said 56mins is a fine transfer time as it's the same terminal and...

    Missed connection on AA

Qantas have now told me 56mins transfer is fine and they can't change my booking. I'll call back and try and speak to another person 🤦🏼

    Missed connection on AA

I think I've taken that new airside pedestrian bridge late last year as well between terminals so you don't need to go through LAX security. It was easy. I'm just not confident in the flight not being slightly delayed that it'll upend everything! On the phone to Qantas now to see what they can do.

    Missed connection on AA

The other main concern is that if the LAX to SYD flight is missed that's another whole day in LAX I need to worry about. I too am worried they'll cancel the whole booking by mistake like I've heard happen to others 😬 But I was going to say to Qantas that I'm happy to be downgraded to economy...

    Missed connection on AA

Thanks all. It's an Award seat booked directly via Qantas as "SFO > SYD". But all on American. I'll give Qantas a call today. Would hate to miss the flight and then not get a business class re ticketed ticket!

Managing AA booking made with QF

Assumed that. Will give them a call today! It's an Awards booking flight.

    Missed connection on AA

I hope you don't mind me asking a similar question in your thread. I am flying AA from SFO > LAX > SYD. All business class. My SFO > LAX flight has changed for the 3rd time now. And instead of a 7hr LAX layover I have just 56mins now at LAX before my Sydney international flight. I assume my...

Managing AA booking made with QF

I am starting to get worried my QF booking on AA hasn't been processed correctly. I've tried my QF booking number AND the 081 number on the AA website and App and it says "flights cannot be found". I went to BA and it did find my flights, but even though I'm travelling business class the BA...

AMEX Application Process Failures + Contact

I signed up for the Qantas Premier CC within a week of my Amex rejection and they gave me a card with a ~$64k/mth limit! Which I think we've all agreed - Amex aren't looking at your credit score, but your credit history (aka all of us churning). Unfortunately it sounds like we are locked out...

AMEX Application Process Failures + Contact

That's what I did as well. I can't recall what the channel was, but they did reply. Nothing reassuring though. I feel you need to be on $500k + 0 credit cards in the last 6 months. I've got friends who've been rejected on $350k, saving a huge amount, but with 1 card, and having churned regularly.

AMEX Application Process Failures + Contact

I received my Amex rejection letter today, and it actually provided some specific details as to why they rejected me! "Based on monthly income and expense information.. We couldn't confirm your ability to make sufficient repayments". Crazy, considering the Qantas Premier gave me a $64k/mth...

AMEX Application Process Failures + Contact

I reapplied for the 3rd time this year. Just to see if anything had changed. It hadn't 🤣. However this time they actually called me to validate all my finances, to tell me they declined my application.

Qantas boosts international capacity, wet lease Finnair aircraft

Yep I missed that as well! But it does prove the point it wasn't very visible vs the Qantas website when seems much more transparent. I was moreso just highlighting I didn't think it was too obvious during the booking process and what my experience onboard was. Purely subjective but thought it...
