I doubt you'll spoil them per se. I suspect what's most likely to happen is they'll think travelling's great, then when they go away with their friends at the end of school or uni spending the money they scrimped & saved doing part-time jobs they'll travel Y and will fully understand. :)

Yeah my most memorable accommodation experiences have been in Oz ... when OS I'm mostly looking for a place to sleep, it's all about the places I'm visiting. But when in Oz, the accommodation is a bigger part of the enjoyment of the trip, otherwise I might as well just stay home!
