    A pre-wedding Honeymoon? (21 days around Asia)

Kombini recommendations: egg sandwich from 7-11, famichick fried chicken from Family Mart.

    What's your golden travel rule?

I'm going to have to disagree. We are none of the things you list above, but we are about 60 and travel HLO and find it very liberating and convenient. We are in and out of trains, buses, taxis, metros (as well as planes), and walking around cobbled streets to find our hotel in an old town...

    What's your golden travel rule?

I don't use a wallet when travelling. Just some cash and a 28 degrees credit card, in a zipped pocket.

    What's your golden travel rule?

    1. Hand luggage only. 2. Eat the local food of the airline (eg, Asian airline, always choose the Asian meal, not the western meal). 3. Never arrive into SYDint before 9:00am.

Cash or Card? Countries where you still need cash.

I had problems with some petrol bowsers in France - unattended, pay at the bowser arrangements. It was okay when you went into the shop for your baguette and to pay.

LOL, not many sheep stations there either!

Bangkok again with Singapore and Batam.

I use the doona as a mattress topper and ask for an economy blanket. More padding, and the econ blanket is thinner and cooler anyway.

Bangkok again with Singapore and Batam.

Chicken breast is invariably awful as airline food. You must have had a bit of a sinking feeling reading the menu for the "refreshment" on the final flight - good old "carrot cake" and weird oatmeal porridge again!

Very generous "canapes" in the lounge of an evening. Worth the admission price alone!

Velocity introduces Forever Gold lifetime status tier

Yes, much the same for me as most others. Only 1200 SCs away from the 12000 target, but 4000 SCs still needed on VA operated/marketed! So that is $48,000 spend just on VA. Not going to happen unless I get some J work trips to Doha or Europe (which is not going to happen). Similar conundrum for...

Bangkok again with Singapore and Batam.

Yes, "carrot cake" is a classic Singapore hawker dish made from daikon radish cake ("white carrot") and eggs. SQ pimps it up with the prawns. It's always a great option for Book The Cook breakfast.

She has just arrived at SYD.

Domestic to International transfer times in Brisbane

Getting through BNE immigration and customs can be the wild card, if you arrive just after a full Emirates A380, could be 30-60 minutes just for that. Huge queues even for the auto passport gates, and then for customs, last time I went through late on a Saturday night.

Sorry, can't help with that specific question as haven't travelled with infants for a while, but can advise that the T3 KFG lounge is vastly superior to T2.

Domestic to International transfer times in Brisbane

I believe the frequency is now every 10 minutes. The orange bus is really a very good service.

Heading to do some of the former Soviet Stans

Within Uzbekistan, the inter-city trains are excellent. We did Tashkent, Samarkand, Bukhara and Ferghana Valley (Kokand and Margilan - don't miss the Kumtepa sunday market). Amazing sights. Sleeper train from Bukhara to Tashkent was fun.
