    Missing flight credits

I am now following up for the third time in six months missing flight credits on my QFF account. Two of these were with other OW airlines, one with QF marketed flight. The shortest resolution period has been six weeks, longest three months and think I got to 30 emails in one case. In all cases...

Air Niugini cancelled with no way to contact?

That seems to be the story with PX right now. They do get you there - it might not just be on the day you have booked :)

CMB - what is check in experience like these days?

Thanks Austman, really appreciated. Based on your experience, would two hours suffice from arrival to departure assuming normal operations?

CMB - what is check in experience like these days?

We are spending time in March in Sri Lanka and have an early morning departure on Sri Lankan Airlines (7:20 CMB/MLE). Travelling Y, but Platinum members - assume we can use the "Silk Road" Bus Check-in? Have not been through CMB in many years and simply no idea what to expect. Really appreciate...

Air Niugini cancelled with no way to contact?

Appreciate that this response is far too late for assistance on this matter (and Austman suggestion the best) but more for general information. Air Niugini are really struggling at present re flights (with them declaring in September that, on average, only 55% of scheduled flights run each day...

    Qantas Baggage Services Melbourne Airport

Does anyone know how to contact Qantas Baggage Services in Terminal 1 at Melbourne Airport directly? I had a bag go missing on an Air Canada flight on 23 June between Montreal and Toronto. Lodged a claim with AC and they found the bag and forwarded it to Melbourne with Qantas handling the last...

Qantas business class - Inconsistencies of Service

Have recently flown with Qantas to both BKK and SFO from SYD in J and found that the level of service has varied significantly on each trip. From small things like the CSM greeting through to breakfast service/timing (why they talk of breakfast when you are arriving in early evening still...

    SFO Qantas Lounge

Purely anecdotal but when asking the SFO airport staff about the Cathay lounge when flying out at the weekend, they suggested that it is unlikely it will be reopened in the short term. Hope it is not the case, as the lounge situation definitely has not improved at SFO. None of the OneWorld...

Article: How to Improve Airport Security Queues

Yes. Absolutely yes. The bane of any regular traveller - expected to be a mind reader at every different airport re their requirements. Love the idea of standardized signage that can be amended for any airport - at least you know before getting a spray from the handlers for doing the wrong...

Article: Qantas Blocking Exit Row Seats on Long-Haul Flights

They have said why they did it in the first case but these blocks were apparently meant to have been lifted (at least on most aircraft) and some people can book for flights June onward and others cannot. No explanation offered by Qantas

Article: Qantas Blocking Exit Row Seats on Long-Haul Flights

Thanks for this. Yes, I cannot work out why they are not available - logged in with status so it is not that. Easy solution - I am going Emirates directly where I can book exit rows and the flight is quite a bit cheaper. Second time in two days when I have chosen to go directly with a OW carrier...

Article: Qantas Blocking Exit Row Seats on Long-Haul Flights

Does a Does anyone have an update on this? I have just tried to book QF9/10 for end June/early July and all exit row seats are blocked. They show as unavailable on Qantas website but on Expert Flyer some are booked and rest are marked as unavailable. Tried ringing Qantas and they could not...

    Is it Me

At outset, important that everyone decides their own risk profile and only you can work out what is acceptable or not. Having said that, my last pre-COVID trip was to Utah and in late Feb this year did Utah again, followed by British Colombia and boy, was it good to get back traveling again. We...

Transiting through USA to Australia - testing requirements

Thanks for responses. Yes, had since worked out that RAT was now viable alternative and if we get one in YVR on departure, it should cover us for both arrival/transit in LAX and arrival in MEL. First bit of efficiency I have found in the various testing regimes!

Transiting through USA to Australia - testing requirements

Hi, we are traveling from Canada back to Australia via LAX later in Feb and struggling to work out whether there are testing requirements to be met in the US. We plan to meet the PCR test requirement for re-entry back into Australia (no more than 72 hours prior) but do we also need to meet the...

Article: 7 Partner Airline Rewards You Can’t Book with Qantas Points

You can include SriLanka Airlines in this list - key legs such as MEL-CMB are not available and Qantas claim that they do not have an agreement with them to market such legs.

Entry into Canada and random COVID testing

MattG, thanks - do you happen to know if he took the PCR test or the "take home" test? From what I am reading, seems like the former is quick but the latter is REALLY long......

Entry into Canada and random COVID testing

Def sounds like PCR is the way to go! Can I ask - did you bus up on the Saturday evening to Whistler or did you overnight in Vancouver before heading up next day? Assume you can only choose one place to quarantine?
