Qantas Economy Plus Launching Feb 2026

Surprisingly maybe not? If you look at Qantas Economy Plus Launching Feb 2026 you can see whilst there's a pile of paid seats available, most aren't available for purchase by the Bronze customer. Of course it's possible that more seats will appear once the visible ones are purchased, but I'm not...

End of JAL paid domestic upgrades (or not?)

It's been reported (Japan Airlines Restricts Day Of Departure Domestic Cash Upgrades) that JAL will no longer allow the relatively cheap space available same day upgrades on domestic flights for customers without a JMB number on their booking starting Dec 18. Whilst I noticed it wasn't possible...

    JAL Domestic Baggage allowance

To clarify; this was booked separately from your international flight AND you have no OneWorld status? Have you tried booking into domestic first? It may be cheaper than 30,000 yen and gives you 45kg.

    QF Platinum Recognition on flights

Got a box of chocolates and a handwritten Christmas card on QF79 yesterday.

    Cancellation options made very clear

Wow, Qantas IT actually made a very positive enhancement here. I suspect it won't work for complex tickets but it's still good that the change fee for using the credit is put upfront, since previously I recall there was no warning about that.

    QantasLink Airbus A220 Discussion

To be fair to Qantas, they offered to move me to an earlier 737 flight to bypass the delay, however I declined since I wanted to ride the A220.

    QantasLink Airbus A220 Discussion

Just flew on the 1 week old VH-X4J. Love the massive windows and the new J seat, don't love the always delayed last A220 flight of the day. Got a tour of the flight deck afterwards too which is always fun :) Interesting to see they have HUDs, do we know if Qantas optioned them on the A321XLRs?

New Qantas promos including double status credits (book by 3/9/25; travel 4/9/25 until 22/8/26)

Mine tracked fine (I was keeping an eye on it as I'm very close to LTS) and was the August 25 offer.

    Qantas starts international wifi

Booked a flight to Jakarta (A332) and I was so sure I would have WiFi... Turns out I'm on VH-EBP today which is one of the only ones without WiFi 😭

    Qantas starts international wifi

Working well on my WLG - SYD flight in a 737, I can stream 1080p YouTube and use my work VPN with no issues. Significantly better than my experience with the AirNZ 787 trans tasman wifi, which was usable for messaging only at best. I suppose I'm glad Qantas waited and delivered a much more...

EK trans-Tasman F reward seats only appear on Qantas multi-city tool?

This isn't strictly true, you can see it in the regular search engine but you need to switch to "All" or "First" after initiating the search.

Qantas Abandons Haneda Slots - Unused

Could Qantas be thinking that since VA probably won't pick it up, they can just ask for this again at a later date when/if they want it again? Otherwise I wonder what the real reason is behind not moving MEL or BNE to HND. I remember some years ago NZ gave up their HND slot citing high fees or...

    Qantas' New A321XLR

Emphasis mine. I'm pretty sure the A320 family has smaller windows than the 737? Especially the newer 737s with sky interior, the windows feel quite a bit larger than A320 windows (I think less of the window is masked by plastic on the Sky Interior vs. legacy cabins). edit: yeah looking it up...

New Qantas promos including double status credits (book by 3/9/25; travel 4/9/25 until 22/8/26)

I've got upcoming flights that were booked as DSC from a previous promo (before this clause came in). Since between now and March next year you could be flying DSC on flights booked either under the old rules or the new rules, I wonder if their IT system can handle only applying lifetime SCs to...

    Thank you for your loyalty

Yep, October here. Oh well :( The no DSC towards lifetime hurts more.
