I was in Vizag last week and they were advising that a very deep low had formed over the Bay of Bengal and were expecting the monsoon to start early, so I suspect it maybe a contributing factor :(

For me I much prefer the space and natural light of the NZ lounge to the SQ lounge. I find it dark and too small for the number of pax. Usually, I pop in the SQ lounge for some Asian food fix and then slope off to the NZ lounge for better wine.

For me it was the RJ lounge in Amman. So many different elements, stand up arcade machines, pizza and pasta section, ice cream maker, chocolate and sweets counter, large buffet and of course a bar. The only downside and it was not a major issue is the lounge is open to the departure lounge...

Yes I had the same at the Q Hotel in Perth, day before I received an e-mail offering a paid upgrade which I declined and when I checked no upgrade offered but all categories were available. I asked and they said they are not available for upgrade but only for sale !!!

For me at the end of the day QF J lounge at MEL beats sitting out in the terminal paying for overpriced drinks and food.

I always choose the NZ Lounge instead of the SQ lounge (now if you want to talk about a dungeon feel !!) I would take QF J over SQ J anytime at MEL.
