And while we’re asking, how long after opening the card do you receive the F lounge invites?

    Earn points on Bank Transfers

What a shame. The only benefit is that the $20k credit limit on my Prestige has been holding a bit of a noose around my ability to churn other cards, so at lease I’ll be able to apply more freely now.

Credit Card Offers Citi Prestige Qantas: 125,000 bonus Qantas Points

Don’t worry about your score. Just reduce your open credit limit as much as you can and make sure those cards are showing as closed with the credit agencies.

Credit Card Offers Qantas Premier Titanium: 150,000 bonus Qantas Points

Has anyone had a go at applying for this with an income under $200k (say something like $180k)? I recall other cards with high income thresholds being a little bit flexible but I haven’t read anything about this one

Latitude 28 Degrees $8 per month starting September 2024

Thanks for checking this. I think it’s worth keeping at $8 per month if the insurance is here to stay.

    Citibank "4th night free" perk

I used it last week. Was charged the full amount then received a 25% credit on my card the following day. The credit showed as if it was a refund from luxury escapes not citibank. So while the selection and prices have taken a big hit, at least they’re quick with the credit now and you can bank...

Latitude 28 Degrees $8 per month starting September 2024

I'm another one who has held the card for 10+ years. For me it sits in the bottom drawer and is only used if I'm overseas or when I buy something I'm confident will go on sale in the next 12 months. On recent trips I've found it easier just to use my Up debit card so the 28 degrees card is...

Qantas rolls out Classic Plus Flight Rewards

The comments on those point valuation articles are always the best part. The logic they apply to their valuations is contradictory with the main goal of recommending programs they can get affiliate revenue from. One of the reasons they say QFF points are so valuable is that they are easy to...

    Unsuccessful application!!

In my experience all credit card application assessments struggle to get their head around salary sacrificing. You’ll get judged on what lands in your bank account each pay.

Churning - when the golden goose stops laying

I wouldn’t take the amex rejection to heart. They seem to be the harshest on churners at the moment. As someone else said, virgin is Citi, so you’ve only really been rejected by Citi. In future try and be a bit more mindful of who is issuing the white label products.

Thanks for taking us along for the ride. I’m finding this interesting. Painfully slow, but still interesting.

NAB credit cards - Are they treated as separate offerings (like ANZ)?

Having read through the terms, I can’t see how they could impose the 18 month exclusion on you. That second paragraph about cancelling a NAB card to apply seems to be the only restriction. This might be my next churn now.

AMEX Application Process Failures + Contact

So have anyone been approved at all recently, after churning 2+ cards in the last year? It sounds like I’m going to have to take a break from churning other cards to get a platinum, which I don’t think I’m willing to do. It’s a shame for Amex as well, as I think I’d use the platinum as my main...
