It's if you return to the country of origin the OWA ends. Elanshin is starting in Indonesia, so this is fine :)

My OWA for next year has I think 3 or 4 surface sectors so definitely possible

Why no more surface segments? You can have up to 16 transits/surface segments under the cap

If all the flights you want are available then I'd just call to book. Saves any of the drama of CS agents not wanting to add to an existing booking or mucking up what you've already booked. And you'll save the change fees

If you can see SYD-HND and then HND-LHR there's no reason you can't book these two flights for your OWA booking. If there's less than 24hrs in between it will count as a transit in Tokyo. I'd also be cautious about how long you have in between as you don't want to run into any issues with...

No we've never been to the USA before! I will definitely send you a PM in the next couple days, thanks heaps for the offer :) Of course - taxes were $1389 for both of us, with the majority (a whopping $712!) for our trip back SIN-SYD on BA. Even so, this is great value.. Including the yearly...

Thanks for the giggle everyone! I'm sure I sound like a tourist who comes to Australia and doesn't understand how far apart our cities are... always funny :) I think due to timing we'll fly LAS-SFO and do the drive down to LA. I think if I tried to convince my partner driving the whole way would...

Thank you for the tip about the main cabin extra option for our JFK-MIA flight! I'm definitely going to look into that 😊 And I agree about our layover in Tokyo, definitely not the worst. Just concerned about having to go through customs/travel between airports with our bags. I'm sure we'll be...

Hi all, me again. I'm a very happy little vegemite as I have been able to secure us a full itinerary for our honeymoon next year! With a few hiccups and one not-so-ideal layover, I'd say we've got a pretty good plan. I would like to say that I found it interesting that the first time I called...

Perfect, thanks heaps! 1681433959 Okay, great. I will definitely be keeping an eye out for any batch releases. I'm just stressing about it as it's for a honeymoon trip :)

Also, another question that I can't figure out the answer to (even after reading all the T+Cs for OWA bookings). Does anyone know if the departure airport after a surface segment counts as a 'transit' for that city? We are transiting Tokyo on the way to New York, and then later in the trip...

Hi @levelnine and @cjd600, thank you both for your insights! I'm not sure what I'm going to do with my OWA booking now as we do probably need to come home at some point. I guess I'll wait a bit and hope that there is just a delay of releasing rewards seats due to the seasonal change. Otherwise...

Hey. I know most April dates aren't opened yet, but I have been keeping an eye every day for the last couples weeks. Day by day new flights/dates were released - until the end of March. Then for the past week or so there's been nothing released except China Air flights in April (as of today can...

Hey everyone! Long time lurker, first time poster here :) I'm wondering whether I'm the only one who is struggling with finding rewards flights in April 2024? I'm halfway booked with my OWA itinerary for next year but can't find any (non China Air) flights from Asia back to Aus! I'm starting to...
