    New Amex statement credits

On Saturday I decided to try the local Burgertory, having never been there before. $5 off as a first time customer, and then a further 20% discount/credit back from the promotion. Food was quite decent, but I'm not sure I'd go there again.

    Amex Essential Reintroduced

Not sure if I'm reading this correctly. I'm exhausted, so give me some leeway. 5x points on food delivery services. Then 5x on top of that for the first 10,000 points in a month. So assume a $100 purchase on Menulog. 500 points. Then 5x bonus for a total of 2,500 points. ? edit: No, I...

    Amex Essential Reintroduced

Most of the banks doing monthly fees are waiving it if the previous or current month's spend exceeds a certain amount, eg $15/month unless you spend $3,000 on eligible transactions. One such example is the CBA Smart Awards card. Interesting that Amex don't appear to be doing this. e: Also...

    Amex Card Upgrade

Nope, when I upgraded I retained the same limit as previously, even though it's below the minimum of the new card. Never bothered requesting anything higher as I don't need it.

Add card to Apple Pay before Card arrives?

I think I've mentioned this before. When I applied for my card it never turned up - Australia Post had it but weren't delivering it. Called Amex and they got a replacement out to me next day via DHL.

Changes to NAB Rewards Signature card: No forex fees + earn rate changes

Do these changes apply to the Signature card with Velocity too? Or just the plain Signature card. The NAB website is a mess and I can't work it out.

    Qantas Red Planet

This approach really coughs me. I did a survey recently via another platform where I spent 10 minutes answering questions, only to be knocked out with no reward. Also made a complaint and was told "too bad". If you can't screen people within 5 questions, you're doing it wrong.

Amex via ApplePay rejected by POS terminals

An update on this: I haven't yet removed the card from ApplePay and re-added it. What is strange is some of the places that were rejecting Amex via ApplePay are suddenly accepting it. There's been no change at their end and no change with me. It's really weird. Last week I bought something at...

Amex via ApplePay rejected by POS terminals

I haven't, as I really didn't think it was an ApplePay issue in itself. One of the places I've had problems at was actually the very first place I tried to pay with Amex when I got the card. That said, I'll try that and see how it goes.

Amex via ApplePay rejected by POS terminals

In my case, all the terminals will happily accept ApplePay with non-Amex cards, or their physical counterparts. It's just the ApplePay Amex that's the issue.

Amex via ApplePay rejected by POS terminals

I have my Amex card set up in ApplePay. Works well most of the time. However, I've found that it's been rejected by the POS terminal at some regular places I go to. The sports club, my doctor, etc. All of whom say "yeah, we should take Amex". Terminal says no. I give up and put it on a Visa...

    David Jones: AMEX to Latitude

That seems a bit odd. It was a good entry level card for someone who wanted the basic rewards and benefits without all the extras. Wonder if they'll replace it with something else?
