QR/AY J Australia to Helsinki for $5-6k return

@CaptJCool I'm going to Munich, and I think it was about $7.5k. So no real difference by the time I buy a J return flight HEL -> MUC, and pay a small cancellation fee on JAL. But yes, it's a bit more expensive I guess!

QR/AY J Australia to Helsinki for $5-6k return

Many thanks for these replies - super useful. The travel agent I usually use said it's not possible, so @Danger if you know one who thinks differently, I'd be all ears. I'm based in Sydney. I think for this flight I'll stick with a JAL booking, which turns out to be a similar price (plus...

QR/AY J Australia to Helsinki for $5-6k return

Rookie question, but is it possible (for example) to take advantage of the cheap Qatar/Finnair tickets to Helsinki, and then book another Finnair connection to another European city (either using Qantas points, or cash), and have these on the same ticket, so that the flights are protected? Is P1 worth a couple of hundred SCs?

Hi all. Thanks for these considered responses. I'm pretty sure I'll make it to WP next year, though P1 is less likely. I think you're right, @RichardMEL. It's probably line ball, and I'll need to see how close I get, and how much effort it's going to take. Will think about it. (Also, someone...

Is P1 worth a couple of hundred SCs?

Hi folks, It looks like I'm going to end my membership year a couple of hundred SCs away from P1 - unless I do something about it. It seems a shame to miss out on P1 if I'm this close. I get the sense though that the benefits of P1 over WP are a little underwhelming. Anyone care to...

Card Promotions AmEx Platinum Card: 325,000 Bonus Points (Spend $5000 in 3 Months), $450 Travel Credit, $400 Dining Credit, $1450 Annual Fee

Hi folks. I clicked the OP's link and got an offer for 225k points. I later opened the link in another window, and it offered only 150k points. If I use the original link (still open), will I receive the 225k? Thanks in advance!
