    Qatar sent an email saying they had made family pooling easier (hurray - no birth certificate uploads required !!) However, they say that you can't add a member who is already a Privilege Club member ?? So if eg my parents have points in their privilege membership, I can't add them to a family...

    Looks like she would need an ITIN to be added as an additional user as well :( I guess the options are to try for the HSBC card without an ITIN, or just cancel the green and sit on the US HSBC checking account for now...

    P2 has an Amex Green via GT, but is unlikely to approve of going down the ITIN path at this stage. Card is rarely used, so the AF seems like a waste. Looks like there is no way to get a fee free card without an ITIN If I were to just add her as a additional user on my US Amex, close her Green...

    Ah. I have always played this super cautiously (with C1 anyway) - did online US transactions first, then some physical Au transactions, then added to Apple Pay Plenty of DPs out there of them fraud blocking you if you try and add to a digital wallet first up

    All seems a bit random - I’ve got an 18 month old Amex Green, an 11 month old Amex Hilton and an 11 month old C1 The C1 and (I think) the Hilton were with an ITIN, while the Green was a GT. MyFico is only showing 2 credit cards on record… Also interesting that the recent Chase rejection...

    Couldn’t find your post with this… but some further digging on third party sites seems to imply that the HSBC transfer rate is at best 2.5:1 pretty cough compared to Chase/Citi/Amex/C1 which are all mostly 1:1
