Looking for cheapest flights from AUS to Seattle

If you are already seeing classic reward seats and using Google Flights to find the cheapest flight there isn't really anything anyone can do to help you to get this cheaper. Just book it in.

Qantas rolls out Classic Plus Flight Rewards

Qantas (and the websites who are advertising for them) love promoting the odd example of it being cheaper. But in these cases you might as well just buy a cash fare (and earn points/status) rather than trading in your points for 1c each - I guess they are assuming people won't be smart enough...

Qantas rolls out Classic Plus Flight Rewards

It's probably only 35% higher due to the small percentage of suckers paying the higher prices for Classic + alongside the extra classic reward seats that were released at the time to boost up the numbers. Since launching this i've noticed them giving away 20 million points with Uber...

How to go to UK pre Olympics?

If you are wanting to find a seat using FF points perhaps consider paying a service if you don't want to spend the time researching yourself? If wanting a paid fare just use Google Flights to compare the options and go with the options that offers the best combo of price/seats/timing (or again...

Thankyou - that was an obvious meaning now I know the answer....

Adding flight segment - Diff availability for new and existing booking

Can I ask what you mean by that? I did try to google first so not being lazy!

JAL 777-300ER back on Sydney route

Yes aware of that - the forums are a literal goldmine for their content - probably why they bought it.

JAL 777-300ER back on Sydney route

And as usual Point Hacks can't resist sending this info out on social media to everyone for clicks. Watch all these seats disappear before your eyes now!

Qantas rolls out Classic Plus Flight Rewards

They are pretty much just making up numbers with these really - it's not exactly long-term PhD level data analysis going on.... Pointhacks is a website that makes its income from advertising points and credit card sign ups - It is always in their own self interest to promote points. Due to...

Qantas rolls out Classic Plus Flight Rewards

I don't think anyone (including the airline) gives a guarantee you can book the reward seats you want - they just market it in an aspirational....cough cough....dishonest....way, Pointhacks etc does exactly the same. Image a more honest headline - 'You too can be one of the lucky 0.001% of...

Qantas rolls out Classic Plus Flight Rewards

I don't think there are really any 'underground' forums in 2024! A US based points travel reddit - as an example has over 460 000 members. Any 'good' info which is shared in places like this is snapped up by 1000's of American Bloggers who then promote it to their own audiences.

Qantas rolls out Classic Plus Flight Rewards

My personal viewpoint. Everyone is complaining about Qantas but i'd say a more major change worldwide the past 5 years or so is more around the increased number of people collecting points and more specifically the sharing of information & knowledge online (not just AFF but thousands of other...

10,000 Woolworths rewards points for a travel insurance policy.

I'm missing points on 3-4 policies....seemed like they just stopped paying out....also curious to know what others are doing. From memory some said they took out like 20+ policies.

Qantas rolls out Classic Plus Flight Rewards

100% You simply can't have never-ending growth on a FF program (members/profits etc) based around aspirational booking of a limited product (reward seats) You'll just end up with frustrated members which is exactly what is happening. You also won't take away said frustration by telling them...

Easy Points Booking Heathrow to Delhi

I totally agree that many airports/airlines that a vast majority of Australians won't even consider are totally fine. But yes you'll find heaps of reward seats bookable with Points in quite a few regions outside of Australia - again partly because many countries can't collect points with the...

Easy Points Booking Heathrow to Delhi

The horror stories are more about getting in/out of Australia where competition is fiercest because of the ridiculous number of points saturating the market and the limited seats made available. Also I think you'll find the 'everyday' person probably don't have a transit or holiday in India at...

Qantas T-80 no longer a thing?

I've seen it on every 'Flying' website and every news website in some way or another over the past few years - advertised as some sort of secret 'hack'...... it's not exactly a secret nowadays.

Good News! Pyjamas on (almost) all Qantas international flights in J!

Was this announced somewhere? Curious on the dates and exact flights so I can check if I'm getting some spare oversized Winter PJ's on my upcoming travels!
