    And if there is an accident because the crew is fatigued? It’s a lot safer to be sleeping in an airport than jumping down the slide from the top deck of an A380 in an evacuation. There is a reason why there are duty limits for crew.

    Yes, definitely absurd. They are not military and as such, the reality is that they do not exceed crew duty hours, in cases such as a diversion to an airport for a medical emergency.

    So when the 8th aircraft comes back, it’s either daily MEL-SIN or MEL-LAX, not both right? The reason I say 8th aircraft is that 2 of the A380s are still to be reconfigured seat wise, and who knows how long that could take.

    Sorry that was what I meant, as in they would bring back the A380 MEL-SIN before they increase the current twice a week A380 MEL-LAX to daily, but as mrflyby mentioned, it might have to be one or the other with only 10 frames (when they eventually all come back).

    I wonder if MEL-SIN would go a380 7 times a weeks before MEL-SIN would go from the current twice a week to daily. No ideas about the time line if either were to happen though.
