Not a bad offer if you want to fly Y and go last minute, but pretty useless other really.

How many points does that make a one way trip to London from Sydney....? On a mobile can't look at SQ's award tables...

Good for Sydney / Perth to SIN and then to selected Asian destinations. BKK should be good value esp. with accommodation costs.

Good for a run to World Expo in Shanghi. 52,500 points return. (+$490 taxes)

Just for interest sake I thought I'd go for the double whammy and add in the Westpac renewal voucher discount. Unfortunately only brought the points down to 50,000 so no double dipping 25K points of the discounted price.

Can you use the Westpac voucher for a one way ticket and get just 50% off, and on a separate redemption, use the 30% discount for the return? If that's possible then the miles cost goes down to 45,000.

Good work on that one deluxeflyer.

Normal one way redemption SIN-PVG 37,500 miles
with 30% offer 26,500 miles
with 50% Westpac voucher 18,750 miles (+A$280.38)

Using the 50% one way and then the 30% on the return sector achieves 45,000 miles return.

At this stage I don't have a need to go but it does line up nicely for anyone whom does want to get there on short notice.

Alby

Not bad if you want to go long-haul in Oct or Nov, e.g.:

BNE-SIN-LHR for 33,250 + 73.79 AUD + 222.10 AUD
BNE-SIN for 19,250 + 73.79 AUD + 112.60 AUD

Similar prices from SYD...
